2/ I doubt many people still use old CRT televisions. If you've got a 360 or PS3 and don't have some kind of HDTV or monitor by now then DAMN!

Posting on message boards is like talking to everyone at the same time..or it would be email or maybe an IM conversation. Cars are one of the worst investments there is. Games and Cars are where a lot of my money goes needlessly. I love it.

I have a $1000 Aquos HDTV like his, a 360 with about 20 games, a PS3 with about 20 games, a $1,500 PC, over 200 DVDs, 3 Guitars, a Nice Amplifier, etc, etc. Am I wasting my money because I love video games, guitars, and PCs? yeah, city of god's a good film. haven't seen it in a couple years. i had it in my netflix queue for awhile, too many other films I haven't seen yet though to rewatch it. 'wristcutters:love story' was sent today, i'm anxious to watch that one. i watched gosford park last night, that was decent. and the last king of scotland was good. i've been seeing good movies lately, not great. 3-iron was the last great film i've seen, it's a japanese film.

What you said might be true for some people. However, making such a sweeping generalisation regarding people you've never met isn't a very mature thing to do.

I'm sure there's plenty of people on here who have very good jobs so they can afford the stuff they're bragging about. I know people who are happy to tell me they've just spent thousands on fishing rods or golf clubs. If you can afford it why not? You could die tomorrow and you can't take anything with you.

I doubt people can only afford this stuff because they're living with their parents and trying to make up for a lack of social life. It might be true for some but not all. Look on MTV cribs for example. All of them have insane houses, entertainment centres, game consoles and huge DVD collections. I'm sure they have good social lives too. They can afford that stuff because they have a good job.

To be honest you're just coming across as a very jealous person who's trying to make fun of people who buy games and post on forums when you obviously do it too.

Yes, I always post on these forums when I get home from work and sometimes at night, that it true, and I actually also have thousands of dollars worth of gaming equipment, which is why this hits so close to home for me. I'm starting to regret the purchases, as not only is life expensive, but I scarcely have time to enjoy them. Truth be told, I'm a teacher; not a very mature one, apparently.

Although I agree that succesfull people can and do have a great deal of entertainment equipment, it is Cribs that pays them to show it off, they don't join an internet forum to brag about it to their peers.
