I haven't finished RE5 yet, but I am already so frustrated with Sheva. She just wastes all of my ammo and dies far too easily.

I haven't played the full game yet, but in the demo of RE5, I got really turned off by inability to pause when switching weapons or using items. I probably won't buy it until it's a bargain bin game (unless they fix that problem with a patch).

Just give Sheva weapons you don't use. I gave her the machine gun and the sniper rifle (which I took back from time to time). I actually found her to be pretty useful. She revived me a lot more than I revived her from the brink of death.

Sheva comes especially in handy when you can give her a gun with unlimited ammo and just let her go to town while you take care of business.

I prefer RE4's inventory system too, but honestly, that's no reason to miss this game. It's great.

Resident Evil 4. It was longer, better gameplay, better story. You get my point.

I have both. RE5 rips off RE4 in ALOT of ways. Navagating Ashey is hella easier than Sheva though IMO.

I'll play RE4 if it's just me playing whereas RE5 should be played w/ a friend to take advantage of the co-op play. Cuz the A.I. in RE5 single player can be a pain.

If you decide on RE5 and play by yourself then give Sheva a Sub-MGun and a crap load of healing items and it won't be too bad...cuz she'll heal when your low on health. Just keep ALL the power weapons.

RE5 because of the co-op other than that neither game really impressed me.

RE4, since RE5 did little to advance the franchise (other than adding a partner).

For Sheva, I just gave her a machine gun. She's much more accurate than me, and much faster on the draw. They should've added a command ability to the game. There were many a times when I could've used cover fire. You would think a member of the BSAA understood the concept of hopping from cover to cover...

RE5 looks better, plays better.. it should be better. But it isn't. I got bored of it, still haven't finished it. There's something about it that I don't like, and its called Sheva. And the new inventory sucks ass.

I liked both of them. If I had to pick, I'd say RE4 was probably a little bit better but neither game disappointed me.

Sheva chews up a hell loads of ammos. It's almost like she is using a minigun to chews up all the ammo I gave her. Having all the ammos to yourself in RE4 was much easier to handle.

4, the bad co-op AI that was forced upon you almost ruined the game. Also even if you could find a decent person to play with the game just wasn't as intense as the 4th, also almost all the bosses were those dumb tentacles. The only one the 5th one had over the 4th is the weapons.

The Wii Edition of 4 > RE4 > RE5 I own RE4 on the Wii and PC and then I own RE5 on the 360. RE4 definitely has more to offer and is more fun and of course scarier (not saying much since neither were very scary, through the first time through RE4 was creepy at points), but RE5's still one of the best games this year and at least it has some multiplayer, though they could have done fine without it. It's really hard to not get both since RE4 is dirt cheap and RE5 is worth the $60.

RE4 definitely. RE5 changed up the format of the game(the series in fact) without changing up the gameplay to match. More action shooter then survival horror(but its the only action shooter u cant move) Versus mode is a joke and a waste of money. Dead Space was a better experience a couple times it had me jumping... seriously. RE5 didn't do that or even come close. Dead Space's downfall was back tracking which was either do to time restraints, money, or laziness. Still looked better, sounded better, and played better. RE4 is still one of the best experiences Ive had gaming ever well that and Halo1.

I disliked both. They weren't the Resident Evil I remember playing as a kid. Both were dumbed down and way too easy with 5 being far more guilty of the crime.

They arent the good old RE games but if you think about it like its a completely different seires RE4 isnt so bad....its like watching the RE movies they arent bad movies as long as no comparasion is made to the games. Anyway RE5 is just a shorter version of RE4 with a bunch of features that dont work. Im glad i borrowed RE5 and didnt buy it i would have been upset

I dont think they can rip off their own game. Why change something if it was so good in the 4th game.

I liked both.

But 4 had so much more replay value even though it had less features than 5. 4 had the originality which mad it so much fun.

RE5 if you have a friend to co-op with. Otherwise might as well go for the cheaper version. Honestly, the play about the same, if not exactly so (much to logic's chagrin).

i love re4. its the game that got me into res. evil so i may have to go with that. that being said, there are a number of things i love about re5. neither is perfect. there are certain aspects i would take from both and mix em to make an even better product. for example, re4 has great atmosphere, better inventory and a longer story. re5 has better action sequences and better pacing (shorter chapters, more checkpoints, etc.). then again, re4 does have the merchant, so.... RE4 wins!

It's not a problem that happened by accident they purposely made the game so you can't pause it. Sorry, but there will never be a patch to change that.

i have to say that i liked 4 better. i just thought it was a lot better then 5. i thought that there were more puzzles in the game then in 5. both of the games barely had any puzzles compared to the other resident evil games. there was no co-op so i didn't feel like sometimes punching something.

Resident Evil4 had originality was new veiw of the resident evil franchise than any other R.E. Game but the new view was good enough they tried repeating it on R.E.5 but both are good but i prefer R.E.4
