I'm thinking of getting the wireless headset (Halo Reach version 'cuz I love halo and it's cheaper) but I'm not sure how well it sits on the ear or how good it will be. It seems pretty well the same as the MS brand wireless headset. Does anyone that has the MS wireless headset for 360 like it? Is it comfortable?

This is the headset: http://amzn.to/8Y7G7Y

I actually had the halo 3 version and I used it for quite a while. Personally my headset occasionally became loose on my ear to the point where it would be on the brink of falling off. I also didn't like the quality that the wireless mic had either. Apparently my friends said my voice sounded higher and distorted for some reason.

Again these are just my personal problems and setbacks, but I can tell you that they are much more durable than the wired piece of junk microsoft tries to sell.

i had the halo 3 model. the halo 3 model was the newer model. it's charge lasted longer and that. i liked it and i loved it. i just sold it back in feb/march w/e it was because i was upgrading to the turtle beach x31's... i think it's a good mic just take care of it and charge it when it needs it not because you want to charge it.... that's what kills rechargeable battery people play with something for 5 mins then put it back on the charger, not saying you have to kill the battery to recharge it... the only problem i had with mine was i forget to charge it... but it charges in 2hrs for 8hr play.

I have the halo 3 wireless headset, and it is pretty good. You can hear people more clearer than the wired one, but be careful, if you go online and there are some stupid kids singing or shouting at the top of the voice, it can get really loud, so it will be wise to just lower the volume or just mute the people. Not sure about the reach one, but it definitely looks nice.

Thanks all, I think i'll pick it up, amazon has it releasing in a week or so, my wired headset stopped working recently and I picked up a cheap 15$ wired one (camo headset if anyone knows it) bit it's terrible quality and echoes everything. I figure since I'll play Reach non-stop for the rest of my life, I can invest in a better, good quality headset.

I have the normal MS wireless mic and I have had it for almost 2 years now with no problems. Its very comfortable and no one ever complains about my voice. The only thing is it picks up alot of background noise, so if someone is talking to me everyone can hear it so that kinda sucks. But my friend's wireless mic doesn't do that so I don't know.

Is there a mute button on the wireless headset? I can't see it in the pics. by mute i do mean muting my voice, not turning down the volume so i can't hear others, just being clear ;)

i have the microsoft wireless headset, its alright, its better than having a wired one imo, but it will run out of batterys unless you just charge it every night if your a heavy gamer, but the head set is too big the holder on your ear thing for me, they must have made it big enough for the biggest of ears, but also i have small ears

yes there is its the power button, you hold power button to turn on, hold it to turn off, but to mute your self, you press it once, you will hear i higher pitch beep and a lower pitch beep after when you it mutes you, to unmute press it again, you will hear a lower pitch beep followed by a higher pitched beep when u r unmuted

i have the normal wireless headset and it came with multiple ear attachments so that you can swap them out to fit different sizes of ear, did yours not?

turtle beach x31's are beast, I usually play fps and third person shooters with it, otherwise it's quite useless.

I have the same problem. It came with the different sized attachments and the smaller one is still way too big. I'm an adult but I just have small ears. It doesn't stay on and is completely uncomfortable. Waste of money. :/
