So I just downloaded the first Halo and whenever I try to play the game an error comes up that says "The game could not start, please download it again." And so I downloaded it again and it still didn't work. Also I used to be able to play Xbox original games that used a disc on my 360 before i got the single red light that means something isn't plugged in right and it was my HDD. Then after I fixed that I could play any Xbox original game any more. Anybody know how to fix this or if there is even a possibility of me fixing it?

Thank you in advance.

Are you using an official Hard Drive that came with the 360? A quick Google search of your error message revealed that the partition for your hard drive that handles the backwards compatibility for original Xbox games may be missing. This could happen if you bought a 3rd party Hard Drive or bought a real-looking fake one off of eBay or something.

I have an official Microsoft HDD and Sega GT 2002 online don't work either. But I actually own the disc. Where did your HDD come from?

Hate to burst your bubble, but orginal xbox online support was did away with this year. So you can't play that game online. Xbox Backwards compatibility is terrible, and the emulator is garbage in my opinion. I've been playing the KoToRs over the last week and there are so many issues that its disgusting.

he never said he was attempting to play online...and the emulator is fine To original poster if its an official HDD it could just be that the section for the emulator is corrupted...best i can give you dude other than that I would recommend asking MS

thats because they're in standard def whilst the console is in HD, just drop the 360's res output and youre back in full screen

Yeah, and Halo CE never had online multiplayer matchmaking on the Xbox.

By the way TC, your post is kind of all over the place. Do you own the original Halo CE disc? Did you download the Halo CE Xbox original? Do you own both? So you own not only the original disc but also downloaded the game from the Marketplace?
