Really Disappointed With Microsoft so far This Year

Is anyone else? They're E3 conference was less than average. The best part was the AC demo and COD4 beta. They played a GTA trailer WE ALREADY SAW, an alright Halo 3 trailer, and talked about....SCENE IT? CMON!! They have givin us nothing of what we've wanted, half-ass demos, with the best being Ace Combat and BD. How about giving the consumer what they want, is it too hard to put that AC demo up on the MP?

And just to add to it all, my friend got the three red lights yesterday. Overall, 2007 hasn't been the record breaking year they said it would be, I'm hoping come September, that will all change.

The MS conference was decent but that's because they focused on games being released this year which everyone here knows everything about already. when they're released thats what matters.

Have you considered that the game publishers have to make the demos, and that making those demos takes time out of the design process? Would you rather they finish a game and release it or delay the game so they can release a demo 3 months before it comes out? Have you no patience? It sounds like you already know you want AC, so why do you need a demo of an unfinished game? What they did release are demos of games that are already complete. They showed videos of the games that aren't.

I bet you're the same guy who'd come on here complaining about how the demo sucked...if they had released a demo of an unfinished game, aren't you?

The demos are not half-assed. Also, don't expect the greatness of E3s past from new ones... since they changed the entire schemata.Staryoshi87

You do realize that that show was televised to millions of viewers who don't go to websites to get game news and that was more than likely their 1st time seeing most of those games.

It made since to do what they did because we are not playing next years games now are we? No, we will be playing this years. Lets deal in the here and now and not what could possibly be! MS will have plenty of other chances to showcase 08. They didn't need to do so at E3.

They're making it less about the gamers and more about business... and as much as I'm a business-type guy... I dun' like it.

Yeah they didn't do too well. Everything we already knew about, but that was almost all the E3. Nothing from anybody really. Anyways, all in and all. This e3 wasn't special for anybody. KZ2 was pretty cool, but because theres a lakc of everything for ps3 fans, they blew kz2 way out of proportion. They should 45 seconds of gameplay nad everybody is like "Wow that's amazing" I believe people said that about kz1 and look what happened. I was expecting much more from kz1 and it was the WORST FPS I've ever played. LEt's hope that this one will be good. Don't judge books by their cover, this saying flows perfectly to games too.

Hey first I don't understand what an ac is. Second of all Microsoft is doing all they can for us. And last but not leastI hear that they're even coming out with and xbox 180 sometime this year or next year. If im wrong please say so.ChainGangSlgr

Whjat the @#$# is xbox 180 Would nt' the old one be 180? Why wouldthey come out with another system that's inferior to the one they just built and superior to their old one? I don't think that they are but I can be wrong. It just wouldn't make much sense/

Microsoft has never impressed me. Microsoft will not win the war. HD TV is going to be in America as a standard soon. The rest of the world has had it for a long time. Yet... they have no HD support. Now the PS3 is 100 dollars difference than the 20 Gig and 30 different than the Elite. Anyone who buys a the non elite versions of Xbox 360 is either an idiot or a halo fan at this point. If the price on the 360 drops then my statements aren't as true. Fact is costs 200 dollars for the inferior HD DVD player and less hard drive space without a Wifi adapter.... or All included for much cheaper.wolfblademusic

Where have you been? MS has full 1080p support, granted you have an Elite.

why would any one buy a hd dvd? the format is already dead. and why is it idiotic to buy anything but a 120gb harddrive? why does someone need that space. why does someone who plays some gears online to kick back EVER need that much space.feel_freetwo

would you feel better if they baked you cookies. what the hell is there to gripe about, amazing games coming out, great customer service moves... look at the other consoles and get a fresh smell of perspective please.

Exactly what I think, I happy MS gave me a cheap console thats powerfull enough to have great looking and amzing games. I dont expect much from them except for newer titles and they have given them:

Bishock

Mass Effect

Too human

Alan Wake

GOW

Huxley

Lost Odyesy

I really dont know what people want, But I do agree that the conference lacked any spark but thats not to say that there wont be any new games out, they are probably saving the information for 2008 or the developers werent ready to show games that were incomplete or CGI.

how can you honestly be disappointed in what MS had to show, they have easily the best holiday 07 line up and they showed us some new info and trailers about big games. threw out some release dates. THe only thing is they could have put more up on the marketplace but really everything they showed is no farther then 5 months out so you can wait. i was disappointed in the absence of banjo 3 but that was rare and not MS. MS has done so much to bring you amazing games this summer/fall and you shouldnt be mad at them just because they didnt have any huge annoucements.Big_player

i was stoked on the vid's they showed. but expected more (good) demo's, that's why i was dissapointed. (was the first E3 i really paid attention to. last year they released a big demo in lost planet, so i was kind of hoping they'd be releaseing something real good this year too.)

was a bit of a dissapointment waking up thinking there may be a sweet demo waiting for me to try, only to find the bigs and harry potter ;)

I agree that the games coming out this year are going to be amazing which is why they didn't have to do anything extravagant because most the games have already 'sold themselves' so to speak. Most of us already knew how good the games were or how much hype was being presented for certain games. The motto for MS this E3 was about "The here and now" per Shane Kim, so they gave us some clips/demos/videos to keep wetting our appetite and gave us a couple good announcements. For me personally, I wanted to find out when Mass Effect was coming out. Now I know so I'm happy. :D
