Rebellion made Rogue Warrior: 2.0 score. They're also making Alien vs. Predator

I was hyped about Aliens v.s Predator (I know, ALWAYS a mistake) until I saw that Rebellion, the company making the game also made that abysmal Rogue Warrior game, which is also a shooter and got the dreaded 2.0 Terrible score. When a devloper makes a real stinker like Rogue Warrior, and has another project just months down the road, it's given me reason to be concerned about the games quality. Aanybody else worried that this game won't be that good - or good at all?

Rogue Warrior was horrible, worst 360 yet imo.

BUT.. that doesnt mean Alien vs Predator will be horrible to... reason? Because maybe they put 90% of there effort into Alien vs Predator and just did a half job on Rogue Warrior.

They better no ruin the Alien vs Predator name, because the first one on PC back in the day was amazing.

Well a couple posters posted in the trailers section of the game and they said that Rebellion was the group from the old PC games that everyone seemed to like. I figure they shold know there stuff right? I'm looking foarward to his game. I hope they focus on the multiplayer and build the game around it.

I am thinking that Rebellion are more focused on AVP then they were on Rogue Warrior. jad206

i'd be willing to bet on it. AvP is kind of a shoe in (sales wise), since they helped establish the FPS AvP games back on PC, and both Predator and Alien have a (combined) large fanbase (and most fans if not all of them have a 360 or PS3 or gaming Rig)

making a balance between the races is really hard , predator is kind of overpower cos it is in the movies XD

haha, yeah I'm guilty on that one myself.

im hyped for colonial marines, but sega is gonna base wether or not to go forward with that game on the success of the new AVP game and the moment i heard that i knew id never see my game and the score of Rogue Warrior just cements that for me :(

Well AVP has a different team working on it than they did for Rogue Warrior. Still that doesn't mean the game will be any good, but it doesn't guarantee it'll be bad either. I honestly don't have high hopes for the game, but who knows.

They also made the original Aliens vs Predator, which is awesome.

What I found strange was the recent video preview where they had all these "British" game journalists touting the games multiplayer, saying how awesome it is. I've never seen a video preivew with journalists hyping a game. The fact that they were all foreign and from where the game is being made makes me more suspicious about its quality. I think they paid them all to say those things.

Rouge Warrior stinks of some side project thrown together in haste to get out for the holiday season, it is likely not reflective of a developers ability. Lots of developers, even those behind everyone's favorite AAA franchises have made bad games before. Sepewrath

You can't really judge Rebellion based on one bad game. They did Star Wars Battlefront:Renegade Squadron and I thoroughly enjoyed that game. They also made The Simpsons game which though it wasn't anything amazing, was still a fairly decent game. I myself can't wait to play AvP. It looks great to me and I think it will be a great game.

It is a Sega title, and they seem to be on a serious up swing lately(bayonetta,phantasy star zero(PS0 got a 6.5 here and around 9 everywhere else))

It's hard to mess up the AVP genre... except for the movies, even though i liked them.
