Rebuying a 360 for Gears 3...

among other things. Would you guys get in on the beta action now or hold out for a special edition console? I have plenty to play on PS3 having not touched my KZ3 and having SOCOM 4 paid for. I don't want to miss out on all the cool unlockable skins for Gears, but I'm also banking on the special edition console having a bigger hdd and 360's being cheaper by then. I dl a lot of good games. I keep going back on forth on this decision...

I'd say just get one now, and play thru gears 1 and 2. You won't end up touching kz3 once you start playing gears. fastr

I've 1250/1250 and 1750/1750 Gears 1 and 2. 3 looks vastly superior to both imo.

It seems like a tough question to answer for somebody. If your still having all that fun with your PS3 though, I see no reason to dish out the cash right away personally.

TC the way the other system is dropping it's price in sales every week it is just a matter of time before we see price cuts amongst the HD twins. I would say sometime around or just after E3 they might announce it.

Hardly. The beta will only be live for short period of time. He will have plenty of time between the end of the beta and the release in Sep. to play KZ3 which is a pretty solid game I must admit. (I'm not a fan of the series)

As for the topic, I have considered this very idea myself. My old xbox finally commited suicide, so I am left with my lone PS3. Gears happens to be one of my favorite titles and its likely I will fork over the cash for another console just to play the latest title in the series.

Naw I'm just gonna pick up the $299 250GB non-Kinect 360 S and a data transfer cable. Thats gonna be $320 plus tax. FML!

A 250gb HDD is more than enough for a gaming console (for the current generation). And there is no official confirmation on the bundle yet, therefore you can't assume an extra controller will be included.
