Recommend me an HDTV please

I have an Elite system, and now I am in need of an HDTV. Preferably an LCD, around 30" or so, under US$1000 (or if you must right around $1000). Good contrast ratio and response time, and one that can put out decent black color. The TV will be for gaming and movies mostly, some regular television broadcast (not HD serviced broadcast).

Any of the samsung R Series's, Quality is amazing. Tv is basically dedicated to movies and gaming, ive got the R8 37" model and the picture is beyond crisp.
