I want to record my gameplay onto a DVD so I can upload and edit on my PC (or straight to my PC), but can't buy a Capture card, and I had heard that you can record gameplay onto a DVD on a recordable DVD player, is this true as I have one of those in my house, however when I tried to follow the instruction I couldn't understand where to plug things in as I don't know the names of plugs and stuff (VGA? etc).

Anyway, if it is true can anyone give me a detailed description of how to set it up to record it...

Is it also possible to plug my Xbox into my PC and just record it onto a DVD from there as I have a writable DVD drive (i think, it is a hp DVD A DH16ABLH) so if that's possible let me know, although I doubt it as otherwise capture cards would be unnecessary...

Thanks,

Just get a capture card, its the easiest way to do this. I've never heard of people doing it the way you are describing.

I have one of those DVD Player things, my problem is I must have the Xbox 360 on 50HZ for it to work most of the newest games require 60HZ so you can only record older games, though they are the best (in my opinion) and yes you can record it to the hard drive of the dvd and then put it on a DVD - > PC - > Edit, Upload It can be complex but trial and error is the best way my friend
