Im going to be getting a new 360 in about an hour or 2, whenever i run to the store. mine got the red lights and im getting a replacement. thing i was wondering is if i do the recover profile thing ive seen on live before, do i get my gamertag and gamerscore back or will i have to like start over? any information is greatly appreciated. i was thinking of asking them to give me back my hard drive or something and give them the one on the new 360.
When you recover it from Live you get the latest version MS has on their servers. If you haven't been online recently the version on your hard drive may be more up-to-date. Swapping hard drives seems like a reasonable thing to do. I would be surprised if they wouldn't do it. Worth a shot I guess.
hmm thanks i guess ill try that but if ms keeps a version i guess its no biggie if they wont let me. i was thinkin about seeing if they will let me pay the fee difference and get the elite. dont c why they wouldnt, just makes them some money
