I've done perheps 2 or 3 bounties, and I would like to do more. But I cannot find any skull icons on my map. Apparenty bounties spawn every 24 hours, so I rested 4 or 5 times in a row to speed up time, and I still cannot find any bounty icons on my map. Capturing a bandito bounty is the only thing stopping me from unlocking the bandito outfit, same goes for the Bollard Brothers outfit. Am I doing something wrong? I checked the Redemption wiki page and couldn't find any answers. Thanks for any help

I think you have to wait in the vicinity of the sheriff's office fo the bounty to appear. It never takes too long, believe me, I brought in dozens of bounties in mexico. In which town are you trying this?

You have to wait in the town. I think each town has a set amount of bounties. If you're waiting for a long time, and no bounty poster is posted, you've probably done all the bounties in that town. Also, for the bandito outfit, when you bring the bounty back to the town, get off your horse and take the bounty off the back of the horse and carry it into the yellow 'X'. If you ride your horse into the X you might not get the outfit scrap. I didn't. It finally worked when I carried the bandito member.

Thanks guys. I'm playing now, I'll try this and just bump the thread if I have no success. I just wish someone knew the exact algorithms for activating these damn things bcause I've done at most 2 or 3, and some walkthrough I looked up said there's around 4-5 for each "spot" where they can appear so I don't think they aren't respawning because I'm completed the area or anything.

They appear limitless I think, but in order to get 100% you need to do 8 in New Austin, 8 in Mexico, and 4 in West Elizabeth. Just wait around the town(I always went to Armadillo, Chuparosa, and Blackwater) in the morning time and they will post the poster eventually.

Yeah. They programmed a lot of stuff in this game to be random. Just play through the game a little bit and I can guarantee you more will become available.

They are limitless. I spent a whole afternoon just collecting bounties in Chuparosa.

What was your pattern for activating them over and over?

Whenever I'm around a town they will pop up every day, they last for about a day then get taken down. Maybe your save is bugged out.

Try doing a mission or something and then come back or try going back up to armadillo and see if the pop up there.

In Chuparosa I picked up a poster, went and captured the target, came back, went to refill my medicine and snake oil, refilled my ammo at the safehouse, did a round of horse wrangling and by the time I did that another bounty popped up. I think the game registers how often you work as a bounty hunter and the more you do it the more bounties are offered to you. I did that in Chuparosa because bounties re super easy and each live catch earns you $400.

There must be some problem with the bounty hunting tasks. I've got 99.9% now showing and I know exactly what I have to do to get 100%. I have to do the bounty mission for Ojo Del Diablo. Yet, every time I go to Chuparosa or Escalera I find that the only bounty posters being put up are for a mystery bloke in Hendidura Grande. I've done this about four times now, I've also done Barranca three times. It won't add to my game completion percentage because I've done them before. Ojo Del Diablo will not appear. Does anybody know if this is a glitch of some sort, or whether it only shows up in El Presidio. I don't fancy going there because I get the impression I'll be waiting for eons before the darned bounty finally comes up, so that I can finish the game. Anyone?

Are you sure? I was able to 100% using two ???? bounties. Make sure you have 8 in New Austin, 8 in Mexico, and 4 in West Elizabeth.

Yep. I have: 8 in New Austin 7 in Nuevo Paraiso 4 in West Elizabeth Each time I go to do one in Nuevo Paraiso it comes up as a bounty target for a place I've already been to, and won't count it. It's annoying I've brought them in alive, I've bumped them off, I've walked to the cop shop, I've rode my horse up to the door but nothing seems to tick over -- Perhaps I wouldn't be so annoyed if I had 92% done or something, but 99.9%! -- It hates me.

I know this is slightly off-topic but im finally going to go and get red dead redemption tonight (fingers crossed its in stock), if you want to add me my gamertag is JM MUFC. I am likely to be going on free roam first to get used to the controls and how to steer/handle the horses, feel free to drop in and we can ride around and maybe start up some fights with a posse if theres one in the game i/we are in.

finding bounties in town is simple. Just stand in the middle of whatever town your in between 7am and 3pm. almost every time the sheriff will come out and put up a new bounty. simple as that. i do that all the time it works
