Red Ring of Death ??

so i was casually playing some xbox, MLB2K10 to be exact and all of a sudden the ring around the power button started flashing red... ive been told this is called the "Red Ring of Death" i turned off my system and back on and it seems to be working fine again, i wanted to know why that happened and if its a sign of more trouble for my xbox ??

Check your power brick and the wall socket if it's plugged in properly. That happened to mine also. Your Xbox is preventing iteslf from shortcircuting.

It's red ring of death if all four quarters of the ring are flashing. It's really easy to mistake 4 quarters for just 3, which has something to do with the video cables not being properly connected. It might have been that.

Well their 4 right. I got first ring of death (E74 I think).
