Red Ring of Death Inquiry

Has any Elite owners had any rings of death at this point, if had the regular premium system since release and going on my fifth system. If the elite's are showing to be the more stable i'll just go ahead and by that one instead of having to go without my 360 for a few month every year.

Are newer models of the 360 any less prone to the red ring of death than slightly older 360s?
