I've gotten the 3 flashing lights three times now. If it happens again, they better not charge me to fix it, or I'll just buy a PS3 instead.UT_WrestlerYou can extend the warranty for $50 and it will be extended for two years. I believe it is $25 per year and you can only do this if your three year RROD warranty isn't expired,
one out of three. my first 360 RROD, my second one E74. i'm on my third which is working fine. xscott1018
Same, got my first a little over 3 years ago. It lasted over a year. When I got the second from the repair center it already sounded like it was about to die but it lasted a year as well. When it died I got an elite and haven't had any problems with it at all.

Went out and bought myself a PS3 just to spite Microsoft, flash forward 6 months and I sold my PS3 and came crawling back to the 360 world.

I had hoped the elite wouldn't fry out on me but the one that went down on me today was an Elite.[QUOTE="UT_Wrestler"]I've gotten the 3 flashing lights three times now. If microsoft didn't make such a crappy piece of hardware, I wouldn't need to buy one in the first place. I have an nes which was purchased over 20 years ago, has NEVER been sent to a repair center, and still works fine. Yet my 360 has broken down 3 times in less than 3 years.
I am about to send my Elite back to Ms with the 3 rings and I took excellent care of this platform and still it failed me, SO this is my first time after almost 2 years. And it annoys the crap out of me, So I have been playing my ps3. I was playing Bio-Shock and noticed a freeze or 2 and then stopped playing for the day, The next day playing Halo Wars and froze and then RRoD.

I agree, Ive owned nearly every console since Atari and NES and the only consoles that have broke on me are one ps1 and now 3 xbox360's. I love the 360's online and game selection, but the hardware/reliablility is very meh. Its wierd how my NES, SNES, Genesis, Dreamcast, xbox,ps2,atari,etc.. are still working.
