Got a power hiccup to the house... down and up real quick. My son calls me... his Elite is 3 RROD. I told him to turn it off, unplug it, wait 30 sec, plug in and turn on.

Everything OK... came back green.

My question... has anybody seen this before? MaryAnn Jugdish at 800-4MY-XBOX is no friggin help. I could barely explain that I didn't need help clearing it.

Thanks!

W.

The short outage makes the 360 think that there's something wrong internally. However, I wouldn't worry if I were you, since it's not serious.

It's happened to me a few times. I accidentally unplugged my 360 while playing Crackdown and it flashed the RROD at me. My 360 was fine but then the disc drive died about 6 months later. But that had nothing to do with it.

Something similar has happened to mine when I have it plugged into extension cord/multi adaptor thing. Slight knock, and there goes some red rings.

Only got fixed when I plugged it straight into a wall, instead of extension cord.

This happened to me once and it really shocked me because I've gotten the RROD for real before. Anyway, I unplugged it for less than a minute and then turned the system back on. That was a couple months ago and it's been fine since... just that slight scare.

That's has happened to me about twice.. one time.. it worked for like 4 days.. then got stuck on the RROD and I had to send it in...you may be one of the lucky ones and that was just a slight error and that won't happen to you again
