I just bought mine recently so my answer to you is yes, you should buy it. It doesn't matter whether the Xbox 360 is refurbished, new, used, or not working, buy it.

And for games, checking the recommendation sticky. The first six games I purchased were Halo 3, Gears of War, Mass Effect, Assassin's Creed, BioShock, and Rock Band.

It's your decision in the end, but I would advise caution when buying used and refurbished 360s.

Only buy new. If you buy an old model without the falcon chip, it's guaranteed to die eventually. Mine ended up getting lost in the mail from so many repairs.
