That sucks. I never had any trouble getting past Max. Not sure what optionI took but they registered mine over the phone in a couple of minutes.
Before that I did use my Best Buy Warranty and they were adamant that I couldn't keep my HDD and had to take the new one. I traded it in thinking there wasn't THAT much saved on it I wanted to keep.......then I got home and remembered Forza 2!! Man, I was in the upper 20's too. Still don't have the heart to replay it.
[QUOTE="cbxero"]Buy a new one, then take the broken one in the new box and take it back for a refund.PMatt722
lol omg people actually do this?
Does it work?? I thought there is a code on the box and the console that they match. Not sure though. Good idea if tehy don't check it or anything.
I've been trying to report my Xbox for repairs to Microsoft for about a week with no luck. I called the 1800 number, it's some voice-activated guy named Max, and he tells me in order to report it, I have to go to service.xbox.com. every time I try to put in the serial number for my xbox, it says "A problem occurred, and your request cannot be completed." So much for my "top-notch" service that I payed extra for. Anyone know what to do?

when you call xbox help line just keep saying flashing red lights, thats what i do and i get someone within the next 5 minutes. Im on my second replacementwithout any problemsand i bought mine used i call that good service.
I had a friend do it. He took extreme care and pulled off the Serial Number sticker from the new unit and placed it on the old one so it would match. Plus he took it back to Wal-Mart, which will take just about anything back. ksoloriothey have new return polices. With people buying PS3's and getting phone books they will check carefully. But you may get lucky and slip one buy. Just keep trying M$.
