they wouldnt 1 people dont remake video games only make sequels to add onto it (in this case Oblivion), unless of course they are for download on arcade etc. 2 it was just last generation even if they would remake games they would pick older ones. 3 just wait for oblivion's sequel im sure its going to awesome as well.....................4 why do you need a remake if you love it so much just pick up the game for xbox and goarmyman455because id like to see the game with next gen graphics, and...no cliff racers...
If Bethesda remade Morrowind with Oblivion's combat, better graphics, Fallout's speech progression, voice acting, and Oblivion's quest/stats tracking I would definitely buy it
But I'd rather have them concentrate everything they got into the next Elder Scrolls and make it better than Morrowind/Oblivion/Fallout 3.

Morrowind>Fallout>obli... o wait THATS IT >_________> They are all around the same each does things better than the others, but its a shame that when one improves something it gets watered down elsewhereYou're +10 wall of text boots are strong today wizard...SexyPorkins^^ This LOL :D Just buy Morrowind for your PC - and don't start with the "my PC is ancient" rubbish - Morrowind is older than your PC. It already runs at a higher resolution than 720p, and the gameplay is still better than Oblivion. Plus the GOTY edition is now under a tenner so you really can't go wrong with it. If you want the graphics improving then there are a ton of mods available to change any part of the game you want.
No seriously! best game ive ever played. After playing morrowind. Oblivion was a dissapointing failure. They took out crossbows, like 10000 of the diseases, creatures they took out GOOD expanions and added crap Shivvering iles, nights of the nine? lame nothing beats solsthiem and Mournhold where u got to see all those gods.they took out spears. They made the armor look lame. The game was sooooooooooooo small. Morrowind was at least 6342374 times bigger no freaking lie. I beat the game and 9/10 of the map wasnt explored. I much prefered Deadric ruins to lame aylied crap. And the people were more interesting too. you could go into any random city and find a hunded thousand quest! people who wanted quest had distinct backstory! soooo many quest btw! SOOOO many quest. So many secret quest missions MIAQ THE LIAR! lol did i mention that morrowind is REALLY big. so many cities. From the top of my head i can name, Vivec, Caldera, Balmora, Khuul, Sadrith Mora, Bal Fel, Aid run, and sooooo many others were there whats up with oblivion and its like 7 cities!?!?? The story was much more captivating, and the fact that you COULDNT fast travel reallly got me. I liked having to like actually journey though the place and seriously. SERIOUSLY. if you took a right from seyda neen you would take an epic journey to some grassy place into some crazy cool enviornments. and if you took a right into the scarier looking area, it was ANOTHER COMPLETELY DIFFERENT journey. Also the amount of people on the streets you could pick up like. People that said "Hey can i get an escort here or there or w/e" or people who were like "Hey can you help me on my pilgramage to so and so." so cool that they would help u fight stuff and u could loot their stuff when they died XD. Golden saints hungers, deadra, daedra lords, those huge green things, random mercinaries on the streets, COOOLER looking armor. Much more armor. Like seriously, dragonscale, leather, bonescale, bonemail, steel, ebony, the glass armor looked way cooler, as well as the orcish armor. The enviornments were SOOOOOOO cool man. Seriously i loved the freaking sandstorms. And the placement of like epic stuff wasnt all stupid. Like i picked up the strongest weapon in the game (umbra) just by taking a walk into some mountainous area. I liked how the guards didnt ALWAYS know yoc commited a crime. The person who saw you could reort you. Or you could kill them and keep them silenced. The glitch where u did soul trap and fortify so and so spell was sooo fun. Fighting almalexia was beast. and solthiem wasnt an expansion. They could have sold that as a second game if they wanted to itw as huge. and offered a new story. But Mournhold that was a great expansion. Seriously. wasnt too big wasnt too small. Great story. actually it was kind of huge. I forgot about that entire underground area. More interesting sidequest. The caves and stuff didnt all look the same. Like seriously every cave in oblivion looks the same. Now the morrowind caves are all unique. The fact that all the enchanted stuff was glossy and when u saw someone wearing the stuff you were all like >____> hmm. do i kill him or do i just walk away he could be strong. The differentiation in houses was cool. All the homes didnt look the same i remember one city that was so cool the houses were like little seedlings that grew out of the floor. And opposite to that was the E P I C city of vivec that city alone was probably as big and as interesting as oblivion. seriously it was like new york. Everyone lived in a like little house in the bigger districts and there were like 15 or 20 districsts . it was so insane. btw the mournhold expansion had a freaking GREAT story that had cool stuff. Also i killed this wizard dud ethat was cool and i got his mansion and the BOOKs. were so good! I ACTUALLY READ THEM. I could write for hours but you understand right? lolHathesulacon
I actually tried to read this wall of text...I really did. But then I gave up.
"Morrowind was garbage. It had zero structure or any direction to it at all. Oblivion was a huge upgrade and was actually playable."
^ I completely dissagree there is no extent to how long I can write about how you are wrong so I will just say you are dead wrong and need to reallign your view on video games.

Fixed for you, with a few grammar corrections :).
I doubt Morrowind will be remade, there was so much content that porting it would take forever. You would also need to have voice actors for every wall of text that game had. It would be a nightmare. I think Bethesda's talent would be better put to use in making an original elder scrolls game.

There are tons of mods online that greatly improve the graphics of morrowind. Here's a list of some of the better ones. At the bottom of the list, there're even a couple for getting rid of cliff racers. (Oh, this is all for pc only of course)

Agreed, one of the best games I have ever played. I wouldn't want a remake, I would prefer Elder Scrolls 5. Also did not like fast travel in oblivion, but in morrowind you could just enchant some flying boots of speed and fly anywhere really quickly, so it really cancels itself out.
That would be awesome but, I would like it more with Oblivions combat system. One reason I could never get anywhere in Morrowind.

I'm not going to read any of that wall of text. But I agree with the title, remake Morrowind. That game was pretty darn good. This is what I thought when I clicked on this, but I will read it because I agree with the title. *sigh*

I know I'm in the minority here, at least among people on these boards, but I actually enjoyed Oblvion far more than Morrowind.UT_WrestlerI like a person who swims upstream. The way I see it, in most games and their prequels, there is a different flare to the game that favors a different type of gamer and their gaming style. Morrowind, I felt meet the more hardcore sand box rpg fans who love roaming the wild. Where as Oblivion tried to meet a larger fan base of rpg fans by changing a lot of stuff around. So there is nothing wrong with your opinion.

I liked oblivion more than morrowind, but that has a lot to do with playing on a console instead of on crashing on a laptop every 30 mins or so.
I honestly didn't think there were any drastic differences, it was set up with a central hub town, but with warping it didn't really make much of a difference.
For tes5 I would like to see some new races, magic/weapon types, something that sets it apart from previous installments, and no horses didn't win me over as a new feature.
Agreed, Morrowind and Daggerfall are two of my fav games ever, Oblivion was not even half the game those two Elderscrolsl titles are. I sitll had fun with Oblivion but it was missing alot of what made the Elderscrolls series great for me personally.
Luckily it looks like Bethesda is going to fix there msitake4s from Oblivion and even in some ways will be more like MOrrowidn then Oblivion.
Pick it up for PC TC!
It'll run on damn near anything made in the past decade in terms of hardware, and thansk to mods it can essentially be a "remake".
From grpahics mods, to new quests, to changing the way combat and other game machanics work, it can truly be made into the game you want.
