Relatively new to these controllers still (bro purchased an Elite a month ago), anyhow, went out today to grab my own controller, went with the "Wireless Controller with Play & Charge Kit", cause god forbid needing a pack of AAs handy.

(my Wii controllers already eat enough as is with my playtime on that system)

Anyways, how exactly are you supposed to remove the play-charger adapter? I tried pulling it straight-out carefully, but it wouldn't budge, and rather than taking my chances with pulling it harder, I may as well ask you guys. There a hidden switch or unorthodox means of removing this thing?

there should be a button on the top of the play and charge kit, press it in and pull the pack out, easy as pie

Just pull on it. But yeah, I HIGHLY recommend getting a quick charge kit with an extra battery pack. Then you remain wireless, because that play & charge kind of defeats the purpose.

I plan to eventually, just a bit low on cash since I have to watch my budget due to college costs creeping up on me, so I get to settle with this for now, which suits my purposes fine.

(I'll be using it as my PC controller, so I'll have it charge during titles I prefer mouse/keyboard on)

Anyways, just pulled it out, was just stupidly snug, hopefully will be easier to take out after the next few uses when it gets wore in.

I usually grab the white part that is above the white part where the charge light is and gently pull the charger out while shaking it from left to right and it always seems to slide out pretty easily.

Can you use a wireless controller as a PC controller? I tried to do that with the play and charghe cable and my PC wouldnt detect it. I think you need a wired 360 controller for that.

to use the wireless controller on a pc you have to buy a little adapter that acts as the 360s wireless detection thing

it costs like 20 bucks...its what i use and it works great

I just grab it by the bulky part connecting it to the controller and pull.... it's a pretty simple thing.

Maybe you should have read them first, the instructions state nothing regarding removal of the product. :P

Anyways, yeah, to use the wireless controllers with a PC, you need the 360 Wireless Receiver, which is a small price to pay for cordless gaming on the PC, and the thing fully supports other 360 devices as well which is a bonus, plan to get me a wireless headset soon to take advantage of that fact, and possibly the steering wheel in the future when I have the cash lying around.

(already killed my last two USB-wired headsets via my chair rolling over the cord a few hundred times...)
