The game has no multiplayer (and rightfully so) and it won't take too long to complete.

Besides for getting achievements, what's the point of buying this game over simply renting it for way less money?

I think the game looks phenomenol, but couldn't I just experience it all with a weeklong rent? Thanks for your input.

Rent it first, then if you like it, buy it. Co-op online will be fun for a long time and in the future.

Rent it and keep it for a few weeks because I don't know about you but I don't forsee myself playing the game through completely more than 2 times, once by myself and once in co-op.

Have you played Resident evil 4 or a fan of resident evil in general? If not then just rent the game and then if you like what you se then buy it.Resident evil 4 had one of the most addicting Singleplayer only games I have ever played.

Buy co-op will be fun and the RE games usually have pretty lengthy campaigns. Not the normal 8-12 hours that most games that have MP are.

I'm buying it as it'll be staying in my collection. If you don't like collecting games and just play them once then I suggest renting.

Buy it. The team has been able to work on this for a while and without competetive multiplayer, the singleplayer campaign will be phenominal and long. I just pre-ordered it:P

You should get it i got the asian version which is region free and yes it's in english. If you run through the story mode it should take you at least 10hrs and you could play online co-op. Once you beat the game it will have a game + so you can fully upgrade all you're weapons and what more fun is when you get unlimited ammo for the weapon, but you can only get it once you fully upgrade what ever gun you want unlimited ammo for and purchase the option to use it. You can also replay any chapter with what you still have left. Other then that you can play mercenary after beating the game and team up with someoone online. Right now I'm trying to fully upgrade all my weapons.

I would definately buy this game. Graphx are awesome with 1080p. I dont normally buy games at the game store but I will sure be picking this one up. I havent played this series since Code Veronica but this game is never bad at giving better gameplay and more excitement and horror mixed together. Thanks Capcom, Street Fighter IV also rocked too in my book.

Buy it. If you buy it this Friday or Saturday at Toys R Us you get a free $20 gift card. It works out for me since I know I could sell Resident Evil for atleast $30 when I'm done with it and I'll use the $20 on a game I planned on purchasing within a month anyway,

Played the game beat it and can you say replay value...definitely BUY the game. I thought that Capcom had botched RE5 for sure, but as you progress through the game the bosses get better and better and just the graphics alone are JAW DROPPING! This is byfar the best game out to date. Grab it ASAP.

Lots of unlockables. So if you like the game, multiple play-throughs are necessary to get all the equipment.

I was thinking about renting it because I'm kinda strapped for cash at the moment.

Then I thought about how awesome it's gonna be and how much I love Resident Evil.

I'm buying it.

Actually took me just over 12 hours to complete the single player campaign in RE5 (12hrs 9mins), although it was excellent and im starting a second runthrough as sheva.

I have pre ordered the collectors edition. Fair bit of crap in it but it is the same price as a normal game £39.99.

If you buy something before playing it you are gambling with your money plain and simple. Do you think its really a good idea to start gambling your money on a series when they start radically altaring it and experimenting on it?? Was RE4 really that awesome and flawless that you should not be careful with your money? Are there any other games coming down the pipe for you that look like you might want to buy them?? If your prepared to lose the 50/50 gamble then go for it.

yeah stealing the game is probably bad but i think trading the game isnt just say if your halo disc is broken just rent it and trade disc.i think its a lower chance of getting caught.

It seems like a solid game, Definitely worth a rent if you're not sure. If you really enjoy the game then by all means, Buy it afterward.
