i plan on renting one of the following to hold me over till i get

Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution :D

the games are: lost odyessey, eternal sonata, or blue dragon.

i can decide which one id perfer on my own (but feel free to add ur opinion)

BUT! I'd like to ask people who have played any of these games if 1-2 weeks is enough to beat any of them

NOTE: if i dont have school or any other plans id prolly get 4 hours of gameplay a day (alot more if i really like it)

You can easily beat any of them in your time frame with playing 4 hours a day . Eternal Sonata is by far the shortest out of the 3 listed . Lost Odyssey has a lot of stuff to do , but you would still be able to finish in a week or two . If you end up liking LO like i did , then you will probably end up putting more than 4 hours into it some days .

I rented Eternal Sonata, it doesn't take long to get through it but you need to play it twice :? to get the full game so to speak. As for LO I personally think it is a much better game in a different league infact, but I have managed to rack up over 90 hours doing all the sub quests and exploring so you may end up buying that one ;).

Yeah you will be able to finish them in 1-2 weeks. Lost Odyssey is sweet and I liked Eternal Sonata also. I wasn't a big fan of Blue Dragon however.

Right, so it's between Lost Odyssey and Eternal Sonata. Trust me.

Anyway, if you want a traditional turn-based game like FF IX (without summons) get Lost Odyssey. If you want a game with a new take on the whole turn-based system then get Eternal Sonata. While Lost Odyssey is a lot more story and emotional-driven, Eternal Sonata is more fun.

Now for my opinion, if you can take the whole cute style of Eternal Sonata then get it.

please stay away from blue dragon lol.

the story line is pretty good, but the gameplay is too repetative for such a long game lol.

Lost Odyssey is great and deep if you read all the dreams.

I have all of the RPG's on 360 almost. Mass Effect , Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, and Eternal Sonata. I like all of them. Blue Dragon is fun and innovative but most the characters are kiddish so it depends on the person.

I enjoyed Blue Dragon , just not as much as the other two . There is a ton of stuff to do in Blue Dragon . The only downside for me was that the story wasn't that good , and it was a little too "kiddy" for me at times . I had to play it with the japanese audio ,and that made a difference , at least for me .
