OK so the RROD and now the E74 error are covered by the 3 year warranty by microsoft. I recently experienced a 360 break down for the third time and had to send it in again for a repair.

My question is, does the warranty get elongated each time you have to send in the console? I remember hearing SOMETHING about this, because I'm sure a lot of people are going to be pissed when Microsoft just STOPS repairing and your stuck.

No, the warranty covers the 360 for 3 years after you pruchase it, not whenever you get it back from repairs.

So basically were going to be forced to keep sending in our destructive systems until we have to start paying? I thought I remembered seeing that they'd extend it a little bit each time.

Something about this seems wrong...

It's 3 years from the console's manufacture date. You can check it by looking next to the serial number on the back of your console, labeled "MFR Date". 3 years after that date you are no longer under warranty. I suppose they could mess up and give you a newer console, thus extending your 3 year warranty, but I'm sure they try to make sure that doesn't happen too often.
