You gotta Cool Gamercard Dude.
Yeah, download it and burn to a cd, plays perfectly. The demo's not bad, but feels like a rehash of RE4, with co-op. The new HUD is alright, graphics are great. i_noseworthyThe Resident Evil games were all pretty much rehashing the previous up until Resident Evil 4 anyway. Capcom in general (as much as I love them) is very bad with keeping too much of the same elements in a game and using it in the sequel. After all, there's a baker's dozen different versions of Street Fighter II. Resident Evil 5 looks and probably IS vastly similar to RE4 in gameplay. But RE4 was for the most part, near-perfect if you ask me. I enjoy the way the new setting is looking, and the co-op should add an entirely new kind of high quality if done right.
wow didnt n=know that you could play demos that way, thanks for the info, i would do it but since the demo is out this week theres not really much point. Speaking of resident evil though, has anybody seen the new dvd of rsident evil: degeneration? its in CG and stars the guy from the fourth game, does this dvd have any impact on the story? do we need to watch this first to understand RE5? - like we kind of did for dead space... thenathmeisterLeon Kennedy is from the second Resident Evil in the series, and you don't have to watch for the 5th one, but you should if you're a resident evil fan.

They don't load as a disc, they magically appear in your demos area :) As for degeneration, it was alright. It doesn't help with any story at all, so you won't be missing out. My biggest complaint is that the characters look terrible. The scale and proportions are way off despite capcom going for a more realistic look. Story is okay, but nothing too special. At most rent it, but don't shell out the cash for a purchase. You'd be far better served finding a copy of Advent children, it's a much better CG videogame-based movie, and will give you just as much back-story for RE5... which is none. ;)
