Resident Evil 5 - Merchant confirmed?

I just finished playing through both maps of the Resident Evil 5 demo, and I am pretty sure there is a merchant in the full game. If not, the gold and treasure must be some kind of a sick joke. It might even be the very same lovable stranger for RE4. Why? Because it's the same voice that says "Resident Evil... 5" in the opening screen! We might be in for a pleasant surprise people.
