Hi folks Wandering what peoples opinions where on this title. I enjoyed 5 but thought it was a bit unrealistic that the zombies where shooting at you. Played the demo of this one and seems really good and its also now not full price. Is it worth getting/is it a long game or what ?

Its the longest none-RPG game I've ever played its about 6 hours for each campaign and 4 campaigns means its 24 hours long. As for the experience, well if you liked the demo then the full game should entertain you, just about. And heres a heads up, the split screen is super tiny, no matter what size your screen is, and you'l notice the button prompts are inconsistant, if you're too good it will make them impossible, if you suck at them it will make them too easy, except on the Proffesional Difficulty, then its always hard.

Was going to preorder the game, played the demo, and decided against it. Recently rented it, played through one of the four campaigns so far : Pros - melee is fun, weapons and enemies are ok Cons - camera/gamer view is bad, character upgrades is limited to just 3 slots to use, not liking that when I collect green herbs that i have to everytime place it in the RB button to use slot rather than just going there(which if you dont, it takes up a slot which would be better to have for ammo)

Hi, I thought RE6 was very underrated by GS. I enjoyed the game quite a bit but it wasn't super amazing or anything to me, I gave it a 7.5 in my review of it.

I should also probably mention I had a tiny glitch in the end of Leon's Campaign, everytime I try to impale the giant fly's eye with the lightning rod the character bumps into an invisible force preventing the rod from piercing the eye. It began after I got the update and played the game again on Professional. Other than that, everything is Kosher.

It's okay, but everyone who reviewed it is right when they say Capcom doesn't know what they want the game to be. Everything is so half assed, there's a lot of plot holes, or just lack of plot (like Leon's crappy intro to the game as one example of many), the endings for all campaigns were rubbish aswell, every other main series ending had some good closure, RE6 is literally all over the place.

Also, there's a segment where you fly a jet!

But anyway, I'm one of those RE fans that defended RE5 to the death because people were saying it was too 'action oriented' but man does Resident Evil 6 just take a piss all over you.

There's a lot of good things going for it, but the bad things stick out horribly.

It's decent...but it's also bad...take that however you want

RE6 is okay I guess. The camera and controls are pretty horrendous though. My advice is to not spent anymore than $20 for it.

Technically, they not 'traditional' zombies since they aren't dead. They're just infected people like in 28 days later. That's why they still have the intelligence to talk and shoot at you. It's actually explained throughout the game repeatedly, just like in Resident Evil 4.

Technically, zombies pre-Romero were just part of crazy Voodoo stuff. Not the living dead that we knew and love.

Crazy eh?

It's VERY hit or miss. They got a few parts of the game just right, like Leon's campaign. But there's also of really dumb ideas that were introduced but never completely fulfilled.

I admire the game's ambition. It has a huge emphasis on co-op where you actually have to depend on each other as the game constantly assigns specific tasks for each player. The campaigns even intertwine with each other that can produce 4 player cooperative action, which is a first I've seen ever. The only problem with the game is that the execution seems off sometimes. You'll question some design choices. The overall game lacks polish, and I believe it's like that because it tried to release before halloween. The controls have a steep learning curve and will become very intuitive. As a Resident Evil game, it's disappointing, but it's still a great game. Just don't play it alone.

They're not zombies so I guess that solves your problem.

Unless you can find it for like $10 I wouldn't get it. It's a long game but the pacing is sh*t so it just starts to feel like a chore to play. The game is a constant onslaught of crappy QTEs, weird design choices, explosions, and uninspired set pieces.

It has a huge emphasis on co-op where you actually have to depend on each other as the game constantly assigns specific tasks for each player.
This manifests in arbitrary roadblocks that require both players to press a button somewhere. The most uninspired use of coop.
The campaigns even intertwine with each other that can produce 4 player cooperative action
This never happens since it will always pair you with bots.
The controls have a steep learning curve
No they're actually pretty simple and straightforward.
but it's still a great game.

No it's not.
