There was to be information released today, but their hasnt been so far. So guessing the rumour wasnt true?

Resident Evil 5 was a disappointment so they have a lot of work to do to get back to RE4 levels.

RE5 was disappointing because they introduced the co-op thingy...that was not what resident evil is about.

Resident Evil 5 was a huge success. It was one of the best co-op games. Even though it wasn't like the other Resident Evil's doesn't mean it was a bad game.. Just like how Splinter Cell: Conviction was good, even though it wasn't like previous games.
