Hey, i got red ring of death today. It had 3 sections of circle lit up. I think its something wrong with my HD cables or power supply because i've been playing altely and it has been fine until we got a huge new Sony HDTV. Then today I got it after a few days of COD4 freezing up after 5 minutes of playing. Also I just put it on my normal TV and i also got the ring. It seems that wheni leave it a lone for a while that i can play for 5 minutes, it freezes, and then i get the ring again. Am i just f'ed and hvae to send it to MS or can i fix this?

Thanks.

if you tried unplugging EVERYTHINNG from EVERYTHING and restarting, and doing it again, you need to send your system in. I've fixed the three RRoD twice by just unplugging everything and putting it back in. Including the hard drive.

Well that got me to the xbox 360 logo that starts up when you turn it on but then it frooze and so im guessing ill just get the ring if i try and restart it. Oh and my xbox makes s weird sound when i turn it off, like something inside makes a sound which never happened before, and i got the ring again but ill leave eveything unplugged for the night. I think i read somewhere that maybe the xbox isnt getting enough power from the power supply. Would anyone know how to fix that?

PS this is dumb as ****

Sounds like it's time to send your 360 in.

UPDATE: I left my 360 and all the cables unplugged last night and now its fine. So if i get it again should there be a way to easily fix it?

Also i saw a website that offered a manual to fix the ring for $24.99. Is that worth getting?
