ring of death question. :-(

so uh, my 360 just got the ring of death, and its not under warranty. am i screwed? or is there anything i can do?

I thought MS extended the warranty to 3 years for RoD breakdowns.lovetheblindone

MS will repair it for you... 3 yrs exteneded warranty... even if you bought on laucnh day.. But im not sure if you need the recipt or not..

What are you talking about? (Harddrive has nothing to do with the 3 ring error or any warranty).

Go call MS & they will fix your 360.

no it wont work they check your serial number when you return and anyways MS extended the warrenty. call 1-800-4MY-XBOX and then you'll get it fixed in 2-4 weeks

MS will repair it and ship it for free. I just got the "coffin" today and there is a prepaid return label on it so you don't have to pay for anything. The MS warranty extension applies to ALL 360s. Even if you bought yours right on launch day you'd still be covered until November 2008, so you are NOT screwed. you might get lucky and get a whole new xbox all togetherascendentjustic
