I don't understand why so many game companies have just dropped off-line co-op out of their plans. Iguess i can understand with XBL at it finest that who needs it, but nothing does beat being able to play an entire game through with a bud sitting next to you. Hopefully games like Kane and Lynch and Army of Two will enlighten them a bit.

I have high hopes for Kane and Lynch. The co-op sounds like it will be a lot of fun.

Personally would like all games to have offline and online coop. Can only play a single player game for so long, but everytime play coop with another lose track of time having fun.

I would rather play alone than to play split screen co-op.

I totally, agree. The best art of most games is playing co-op. Gears had really fun co-op I must say, but not too many next gen games have impressed me (Halo 3 isnt even widescreen in offline co-op)

Yes, it is sad. I think the best Co-op is Guitar Hero and Gears of War. Especially Guitar Hero III. Kane & Lynch looks like it wants to revive the co-op idea. We need more games coming out that can focus around 1 and 2 players working together.

Does Kane & Lynch has offline co-op? I felt ripped off when Crackdown hadn't...

I enjoy Co-op in games. Unfortunetly some people can't get online (me) so Co-op is even more valuable. Sucks that COD4 doesn't have it. I'm renting for that reason. That and the single player game is pretty short.

yea i agreeGEARSofWAR360

the old times of beating a game like Contra or Double Dragon with a pal next to you, are being dumped in the past

Kane and Lynch and Army of Two looks both pretty awesome.

I think most games that have co-op have off line co-op to don't they? obviously there are a few sore thumbs out there like CoD4, DOOM3 and such but for the most part I think all my favorite team games have split screen...
