You can use all RB1 equipment in RB2.

I think I've read the RB2 drums will have mounts for adding cymbals. That there will be cymbal accessories you can connect to the RB2 drum kit, but they aren't needed.

I want cymbals and have yet to decide what to do. When I saw the Guitar Hero drums, I thought I needed them for sure. Then I hear that RB stuff will work on GH games or at least so says Activision. So, then maybe I want the RB2 drums for both games. It is a hard decision to make.

idk how you could say that rockband 2 is going to be better than GH WT after watching these videos. for the ppl saying there going to get rockband 2 just got they dont want to buy new stuff i think is the wrost reason to pick that game. all rockband 1 stuff sucked so bad and the guitar really sucked. everybody i know used there GH2 and GH3 guitars. the only thing rockband 2 has on GH WT is more songs but the can be OWNED by the fact that you can make your on song in GH WT
