I have been debating forever on whether I want to get Rock Band 2 or Guitar Hero World Tour. I have never played Rock Band 1 or 2, I have played WT once, and have Guitar Hero 2 and 3. I made sure both games had lots of songs, which they do.

But it has gotten to the point where they both look good gamewise, so now I want to decide based on the equipment. The problem is, I have never even played Rock Band 1, 2, or WT drums EVER. I have no experience to make this decision, so I would like your help.

Which game do you think has better equipment, why, and please be very specific! Thank you so much for the help and please provide ay further feedback you can, if you have advice on the actual games themselves,I would love to hear it! :D

Mic - Same (nearly identical)

Drums - Rock Band 2; Guitar hero's drums look cool, but dont respond well to hits at all

Guitar - Guitar Hero; Buttons are a lot better and strum bar still clicks, which I like

OVERALL - Get Rock Band. Better setlist and tons more downloadable songs. Its just a better experience all around.

To tell you the truth, GH: WT is a complete waste. After playing Rock Band 2, then playing WT, you feel as though you really want to go back to RB, and I have both, played GH WT like twice, but everytime I play WT, I really want to go back to Rock Band. Anyways, equipement wise.

Drums: Rock Band 2 10000 % over GH WT, for some reason theres a probelem with the responsiveness of the GH WT drums

Mic: Same thing.

Guitar: I 'd have to go with GH WT for this, only because I like the click.

Overall: Rock band 2 definatley. Trust me man, you wont regret it.

i like rock band 2 better because it has the better songs but gh world tour is great also. As for the instruments i like the guitar better for world tour. The drums are also better for world tour if you can actually get them to work.

I recommend you get Rock Band 2 over Guitar hero World Tour. It's a better game and has better downloadable content. The equipment it comparable for either game but they are both backwards compatable. So if you were to buy Rock Band 2 and wanted to play Guitar Hero WT, you could. That is what I did. I realized that Guitar Hero WT wasn't as good of quality as Rock Band 2 and they both had many of the same songs. Rock Band 2 just is better.

Nowtonight I just bought Guitar Hero Metallica and it is incredibly fantastic. I play it with all of my Rock Band 2 equipment and it works just as it should. Guitar Hero Metallica is great if you are looking for a challenge and for some great metal tracks. A good thing to think about.

Also, you might want to conisder barrowing Rock Band 1 from a friend if you have Rock Band 2 because you can download the songs from the first game to your hard drive and play them all with Rock Band 2. That doubles your set list and makes Rock Band 2 a much better value than Guitar Hero World Tour.

All things considered, both games are fine and you'll be able to rock out with either title. Rock Band 2 is a better bang for your buck so that's the way I suggest you go. But consider getting Guitar Hero Metallica down the road either way... it's totally worth it!

I still use my GH 2 guitar. I didn't like the Rock Band guitar, I found the strum bar too awkward.

If you're interested in the drums, get Rock Band 2. If you're interested in the guitar, get World Tour.

I personally like the GH:WT drums better...but I haven't had any sensitivity issues with them. However, the actual game, Rock Band 2 is by far the better choice. I'm with most people on the Guitar though...I like the GH guitar better.

If you're just looking for an equipment rec, I'd personally get WT, and get the Rock Band 2 game disc separately. However, if you're only going to get one game overall, I'd say go for Rock Band 2. Even with the worse equipment, the game is so much better it makes up for it.

Well I played GH:WT at my brothers house and I loved it, and my brother and his family did too. We stayed up late playing, that now Im gong to get it. I have not played RB, but after I get GH, I might get the RB games to use with the GH equipment. Im getting it because I think its a good deal, GH:WT bundle, with Metallica for free, in total $181.14.

You cant do that, you can only download the songs once. But anyways RB is by far the best. And I actually like the RB2 guitar better than WT. A lot of people like the clicking but I dont.
