its already flawed and not even out yet, no double bass = fail.darksusperia
I agree with him. I'm a drummer also and having some kind of bass drum would have been real nice. Cause there wouldn't have been much of a difference with an electric drumset.
But beeing a drummer and seeing the test videos on the game, it's a pass for me.

Yeah...they should add double bass and do throw some hardcore andgrindcore on the marketplace, hahaha.

no, its not even that. im sure they will put some nickelback etc on there but the issue is they use double bass. How the hell do they expect to replicate the "rock band" experience when person on the drums wont be able to play the song properly due to lack of thought on the developers part and tools provided? hell, it could have just been one bass pad, 2 kickers.
Nickelback and other rock bands, all use double bass to a degree. Not like that of metal bands, blast beating etc (ur average person wouldnt even attempt 200+ bpm), but in small short bursts here n there.
the tools are already there, just seems they were lazy. cost is not an excuse.

It's because the average gamer doesnt even know the layout of a drum set, let alone what blasting is.

exactly. i have no clue when it comes to drums but im looking forward to rockband cause it makes the drums accessible to the average gamer like me with no real musical talent

no offense but this isnt drum hero. adding more would ruin the 5 color thing and mess up the interface for the drummer alone. this game is supposed to appeal to the masses, not just the drummers. im sure if they ever make a drum hero or something ur wishes will be granted. i mean lets look at all the ways the guitar isnt like a real guitar, but its still damn fun.

thats not the point and I personally wont be getting it, nor am I drummer. I am is someone who loves music. the 5 buttons = the 5 strings minus the fret board for the scales.
the drums are an inaccurate representation and Im sure you could move your right/left foot up n down quicker then 2 times every 4 seconds. Correct me if Im wrong but I believe the drums dont even come with a bass drum full stop. how the hell can you play any song with out the bass drum keeping the beat? your not gonna to use the tom thats for sure.
Rumor I've heard is that it will ship with authentic Vic Firth sticks. For the people claiming it needs double-bass, you have to realize that the average person is going to have a hard enough time just coordinating their arms and feet at the same time that the idea of both feet moving would be out of the question. I can see Harmonix adding a second pedal for RB2 though, which can double as a bass pedal and your hi-hat.
I've been playing drums for 13 years, but I know that this is just a game. It's not going to be a drum sim, it's just a fun way to play along that mimics real playing.

Firstly, the stick are Ludwig. Pretty nice sticks.
Lastly..to the dude who said '5 buttons for 5 strings' ....
I don't know what kind of guitar you play, but mine's got six. EADGBE.
No double bass! What? How can I replicate Dragonforce.
Cmon kids, you don't need a Double Bass thats just silly. And Vic Firth sticks FTW. Whenever someone sits behind my kit they can only play the Hi-Hat and Snare and some beats with the Bass Drum.. With that being said why would they have a game that's appealing to the Masses that requires you to actually be good at an instrument? Thats like saying "Guitar Hero needs real stringed guitars for picking, that way I can finger pick and solo like Madonna".. It's a waterdown version of being in a band it's not meant to be the end all drum machines..
