Rock Band or Guitar Hero 3! (POLL)

I want to buy one of these two games with my Christmas money. My dad says he'll chip in $60 if I get Rock Band (cause he likes to drum), so they're gonna work out to be the same price. I'll probably be playing these mostly solo, but sometimes with friends or my dad.

Which one would you reccomend??

I'm not sure what you mean but I'm askign becauser I was wondering what people thought I should get. I think the guitar will be better in GH3, but are drums and singing enough to make Rock Band better than GH3?

I consider get Both Cause RockBand is just fun to play the Drums and have everone playing with you but

Guitar hero is so much better if you are playing by yourself and the online play is better than RockBand.

Just Decide a Game that you play by yoursef or with you Friends and Family.

Seriously it should be Rock Band, I have both andthe better game is Rock Band. Although I do have to admit that the guitar in Gh3 is more fun than than RB's.

Since guitar parts have become pretty automatic (I think it's been like 3 years with the guitar conroller),I really enjoyed learning to do the drums. It reminds me of when I first held the guitarcontroller and couldn't think or movefast enough to do medium.

This is an easy one.........Rock Band! You can use the guitar for GH3 plus you get drums and a mic. After you have all that you can just buy the GH3 game. Although you could also use another guitar for bass in Rock Band so maybe buy both.nesta54

Although I agree Rock Band is the better choice, you can not use the RB guitar on GH games. You can use the GH guitars on RB, but not the other way around.

Rock Band, the guitar is better as it does not have added notes or stupidly bad note charts like some of the songs in GH 3 have. Also the DLC for Rock Band is absolutely incredible and the set list in my eyes is better.

Also drums and singing as well mean it's one hell of a good game.

If I were in your situation I would go for Rock Band. Since it cost more and your dad is cool enough to chip-in $60. You can buy Guitar Hero 3 later, just the game without the guitar since Rock Band's guitar work just fine with it. I've played them both and they're both great games to own and different enough to own both.

Both are good games although the more I play Rock Band the more I feel like im playing in spite of the music and not with it, in Guitar Hero I really felt like i was playing the music. This goes for the guitar/bass parts for sure.

Rock band, absolutely no question at all. Especially for single player. I think anyone who says otherwise is lying.

Not only is the guitaring done far better in Rock Band, but if you getbored of that (unlikely), you can sing, play bass, and do the drums as well. It's like 4.. well, 3, bass doesn't count.. games in one.

So much better. Not to mention, the setlist is far, far better. Unless you're into more modern stuff.. But there's still a lot of modern music in Rock Band too.

Plus, with rock band, even if it's rare, when you do have people over / parents, it's amazingly fun to play.

But even just considering single player, Rock Band takes the cake. Rock Band makes guitar hero 3 look like utter trash. Don't get me wrong, guitar hero 3 is an OK game, but it's not nothin' on Rock Band.

Though Rock Band has a better song lineup i'm still going to go with Guitar Hero because if you enjoy playing guitar like i do, and judge each game on that facit alone Guitar Hero is far superior. Rock band is too dull when you play on your own.

dude there are only like 5 good songs in gh3. Rock band only has one bad one.....dare i say its name....DEAD ON ARRIVAL.
