So I saw that they have silencer pads for the Rock Band drums at Gamestop for $20.
My question is, do they actually work?

They definately make the pads quieter but they also reduce the sensitivity by a lot. They made me miss way more notes and you have to hit the pads really hard to register. I dont recommend them.Fayt445Thanks for the input :) I was skeptical that they would reduce registry so I didnt want to go out and buy them  Saved me $20 :)
[QUOTE="grunt1096"]Why do you want to silence your drums? That just seems a little dumb.Fayt445
Have you ever played Rock Band before? You can barely hear your TV while playing drums they are so loud.
Yes I own Rock Band but the drums don't seem very loud to me. The idea of putting something on the pads also seems dumb for the fact that it takes away from the sensitivity.

Which is why I thought better to ask than to go out and buy right away.I have a set of silencers, and they help quite a bit. They were purchased so I can play while my parents slept, but to no avail. They cut the sound produced by about 60%, so I can actually hear the music without cranking my television to max volume.
On a side note, you must be hitting the drums very lightly, because these things do not effect my sensitivity all that much.
