I honestly thought that Rock Band had the best song list of the two, and that their DLC schedule and content were both great, but for some reason everyone thinks that Guitar Hero 3 was the better game. Anyone else out there agree with me that Rock Band has better songs, or are do you think Guitar Hero 3 has better ones?

I think GH III has the better setlist only because of F.C.P.R.E.M.I.X

Yea, you go to Rockband.com and then click on "community". Then scroll down and click on DLC Credits. They'll have next weeks DLC listed there.

To tell you the truth, GH3 had a better initial list of songs that turned out to be not so fun when you played them. They are still great songs but, it just feels like a chore to play. There was some very poor song selection in two ofthe venues that were making me cry as they were so awful. Now Rock Band hit the scene with lesser known/ less popular songs in their list which turned out to be very fun and entertaining (with the exception of one or two songs). Rock Band sports just enough difficulty for me but sometimes I wish that they spicedit just a little for me.Rock Band's DLC is very steller with the ability to select individual songs while GH3 has two great free songs. Online uploading to leaderboards, GH3 is the best because it never fails. Due to XBL problems it can be hard to communicate with RB central. DLC for both games are currently hard to DL because of the freaking XBL problems. Either GH3 or RB, the gamers are truely the winners in the end.

I like the Guitar Hero 3 song list a little better. I own Rockband and it's great (hardware sucks though), but there are some songs that feel out of place (old Fallout Boy, WTF?).

Guitar Hero has more songs that are guitar driven (obviously) and they are more fun to play....on guitar. Rock Band has the chore of providing songs that are fun to sing, play bass, guitar and drums and therefore it is more difficult. I find that RB is boring on guitar for the most part because the songs are easier, but they are all a blast to play with drums.

I would like to see more songs in RB that disregarded the fact that people need to be able to sing it. In my experience singing is the weak link as most of the songs were either unfamiliar to my friends or they just plain couldn't sing them cause they aren't singers. Nothing kills the vibe quicker then some dude trying to sing when he can't. That's why I love the Metallica tracks because most people don't want to try a Hettfield voice, so we always have no singer for those songs.
