Ok, so I've played guitar hero at friends and decided to buy rockband, my first "music" game. The problem is that I don't know which to buy, and I have no instruments. So do I buy rockband beatles special edition for $250 or value edition for $160. The only difference is that rockband beatles value edition comes with rockband 1 pheripherals, is there a big difference between rockband 1 and rockband 2 pheripherals. Is there a difference between rockband beatles and rockband 2 instruments, other the the nestalga and the specially designed guitar? So basically I don't know which to get because I dont know the difference in pherpherals.

P.S Does rockband 2 value edition contain rockband 1 or rockband 2 pheripherals.

Thanks in advance.

If you like the Beatles go for that. The $150 one comes with the RB 2 instruments which are built better than the first ones. Keep in mind the Rock Band 2 DLC won't work with Beatles. So if you wanna play alot of diffrent music go for Rock Band 2.

I'd get the value set, just because it's cheaper but still great. Just be ready to replace your kick pedal :D

The Rock Band 1 instruments are terrible. Get Rock band 2 Bundle for $100 and buy Beatles by itself. That's the best choice because the Beatles instruments are also bad.

If I were looking to buy a RB game right now this is what I would get: Rock Band 2 Bundle (Wireless Strat, Wireless Drums, Microphone, and Rock Band 2 game) - $140; and The Beatles: Rock Band game - $60. It comes out cheaper than the bundle for The Beatles Rock Band, but you get better instruments than with the cheap bundle and you get two games instead of just The Beatles game.

Buy the Guitar Hero: World Tour set, and then buy Rock Band alone by disk. Maybe in the future you'll wanna get GH and you wont be able to, since you'll have the Rock Band set. But the GH set plays Rock Band and GH.

I'm in sort of a similar situation....well, not exactly but im deciding what to get here.

I have Rock Band 1 tracks on my HDD, I've got the Rock Band 2 Disc. My basement recently flooded and destroyed my 360 and Rock Band instruments. I want to replace the instruments, but $90 more for the Beatles Edition is insane! Glad to hear the value pack comes with RB2 instruments (the RB1 drum kit SUCKED).

I would go with what these guys are saying, for your situation. Buy the Rock Band 2 bundle and buy Beatles seperately.

I would do exactly what other people have said. Buy the RB2 edition with all the instruments. Then buy The Beatles Rock Band by itself. Not only is it cheaper then buying the $250 edition with the Beatles game, but you also get two great games.

The problem with the GH World Tour Drum though is they just don't last. My set are at a stage where sometimes hitting the drum, it doesn't register.
The advantage over the set over the RB set though is the extra symbol, which GH games use.
