Tuesday! I'll be rushing to TRU before work to pick up Brutal Legend and Uncharted 2, along with a freebie game. Can't wait! Tuesday will be rocktastic.
Not sure...there are way to many other games I've got my eye on...Ill wait for reviews and player reviews
I pre-ordered it (something I very rarely do) largely because of a free vinyl record style sleeve case (full size) that was given to me for doing so. I live in Texas and got the record sleeve at BestBuy...was wondering if anyone else has received one of these for pre-ordering the game? It's a Brutal Legends sleeve that opens up like a book would...has no other features other than looking like a record sleeve and the fact that it can hold your game disc once you get it.
I got my copy from Amazon. $57 and free release date delivery (prime members). Plus if you preorder it from Amazon, you get $10 off your next game.
Ive already got it,grabbed it last night and its a great game, more to it than the demo leads you to beleive, its quite free roaming with loads of upgrades and cool little touches to it.my sons been playing for about 4hrs straight so far, looks like i will have to prize him away soon..well worth a look,i think its a pretty big game from what i can tell...
I'm not getting it.
For one I am not a big rock fan so therefore the premise of the game is re-tarted to me.
And second the "for one" is enough for me not to get this game.
it has no replay value and its probably short, so its not worth more than a rent for me. besides, why buy this when games like borderlands and mw2 come out soonmtradr43
No replay value? So side-quests, a bunch of things to find around the world, upgrates to your weapons, spells, and car, and (based on the hour-long gameplay video they had yesterday) lots of unlockables, aswell as multiple difficultymeans no replay value?
I don't care if you aren't interested because different people have different tastes, I just felt the need to correct that. :P

all that stuff doesnt mean the game has replay value. once you play the game once and 100 percent it, theres no incentive to play again except on a different difficulty, but theres no real reason to do so. it has play value, to get all that stuff, but once you do, theres no reason to do it again unless you are in love with the game.[QUOTE="mtradr43"]it has no replay value and its probably short, so its not worth more than a rent for me. besides, why buy this when games like borderlands and mw2 come out soonRemora133ill second that.
How can you second that when the OP didn't even have any experience with the game, thus that argument doesn't quite hold up.
It has replay, just as much as any other game. I'm going by previews of course.
The single player is 15-20 hours and the multiplayer has been praised for being an action-RTS flavor, which is unique, at least on home consoles.
Why buy this? Hmm, because I want to, and many other people also want to. And I'm getting multiple other titles. This game is a Tim Schafer masterpiece and unique, so why wouldn't I buy it? I'm not insane, after all.
And you said it's "over advertised" or something along those lines. Well, every single game you have in your sig was "over advertised".
ill second that.[QUOTE="Remora133"][QUOTE="mtradr43"]it has no replay value and its probably short, so its not worth more than a rent for me. besides, why buy this when games like borderlands and mw2 come out soonBioShockOwnz

seems we have a fanboy here. and all what you just said cant be proved or taken as fact because like you said, it isnt out. so really everything said in this post is useless. anyways... i have never seen a game more forcefully advertised like this. concerts, more ads than i have ever seen on any game ever, and its been being intensely covered for over a year now. not many games get this much publicity. this is really just my opinion, but it ruined the game for me[QUOTE="BioShockOwnz"][QUOTE="Remora133"] ill second that. Anyways, I'm stating factual gameplay info from previews and the dev. You and the other poster were making assumptions, but none of them were based around the facts that have been presented. There's no need for misinformation just because you personally can't get into it.
Also, you've never seen a game more forcefully advertised? Really now? Halo. Call of Duty. Assassin's Creed. To name a few. All were advertised much more heavily and to state otherwise is not true at all.
Also, the publicity, while heavy, but not as heavy as the previously mentioned titles, will help the game. We should all be glad a game by Schafer is finally getting the financial backing it deserves.
If you don't like it, then fine, but let's stick to the facts as they've been presented to us. Thanks.

all halo, cod and assassins creed may have been pretty heavily advertised, but at the same time, i wasnt seeing it ALL the time. this is probably just me, but everywhere i look, every magazine, tv show (gametrialers, xplay) website, commercials, they are all talkin about it constantly. all the other games didnt seem this obviously forced onto gamers. but thats just me[QUOTE="BioShockOwnz"][QUOTE="Remora133"] seems we have a fanboy here. and all what you just said cant be proved or taken as fact because like you said, it isnt out. so really everything said in this post is useless. anyways... i have never seen a game more forcefully advertised like this. concerts, more ads than i have ever seen on any game ever, and its been being intensely covered for over a year now. not many games get this much publicity. this is really just my opinion, but it ruined the game for meRemora133

For a beta...
All those titles I mentioned had A LOT more advertisement. But I'm glad you're noticing a lot of Brutal Legend. We need more.

It didn't ruin all the other HIGHLY OVERRATED GAMES WITH MANY YEARS OF ADVERTISEMENT that you just played. (checks your gamercard.)
