i'll start by saying im not sure where to post this so i'll post it here.

when i connect my ps3 or 360 to my ****** router it will work fine with a green light on the router. then after a while it will turn orange and kick me off psn or live. sometimes it wont even log me in... i tried resetting the modem and router but no luck... do i need to install the disc the ****** came with onto my consols?

Consoles aren't PC's. So you cannot and therefore do not need to install any third party software on your consoles for your router to work. If you're talking about configuration, you can do that through an actual PC that is connected to the router. There is some sort of Admin tool that you should be able to access through a browser on your PC. Look at the instructions for your Router.

I have a ****** and I connect through a wireless adapter for my 360. And the same exact thing happens to me. Huh.

wireless.... and it also doesnt work wirelessly if i move more than 5 ft from the router!!! this is annoying.. the router is brand spankin new!

May want to try more PC tech oriented forums or the forums at xbox you will get better insight from those websites I believe.
