RROD! It finnaly happened.. i have so

me questions for u all..Hey everyone I know there are about one million posts on this forum about this but i mean one more wont hurt,... im sorry.

Well I am sending it in and I want to no if anyone has experience problems with there new xbox's that there getting back?

INto what year does this warranty expire and if when how much would it cost to get fixed?

Ok when i got my xbox the back of the xbox was not completely latched together so and I did not tamper with it at all... when they see this do they check the inside to see if it was tampered so then will they be able to tell i did nothing to my xbox and will i still hvae the warranty?

I would worry about the case being unhinged. Why didn't you return it when you saw that it was open?

As far as the warranty, I got a follow-up letter after I received my replacement with details of the warranty. Since I have a service contract they're going to issue me a new one for my replacement model with the new serial number. As far as I know your warranty doesn't completely start over when you get a replacement.

do u think they would say I tampered with it? Because if I did wouldnt they notice i did something? like wouldnt they need some evidence of something i did? I didnt do anything to it so thats why im saying that.

I think the back of the console being unhinged is a good sign of tampering lol, you should have done something about it when you first got the console

Problems exist in all the units available from the RROD to the disk scratching and such. If youve had one failure, expect another...

Welcome to the club! Your membership card, t-shirt and patch are in the mail! Sorry to hear about that, but it happens to EVERYONE eventually. I mean that every 360 produced in the first 2 years will RROD after a certain amount of use and overheating. It's a good thing that M$ is covering the system for 3 years now. Even my Elite is starting to act up and it's only 9 months old!

Well, welcome to the family, I'm on my fourth 360 right now and it's doing ok. Wouldn't they send you a new one or something if you already sent it with the receipt and you still have your warranty?

Good luck with ur 360 dude....... MS screwed me though..... I won't go through the whole story but know this..... the rep lied to me on the phone about the policy not being available outside of North America..... then they told me I wasn't covered because my XBOX was TOO defective..... they didnt use those words, but thats what it boiled down to in the end..... I was super ****** especially after they kept me on the line for an hour (overseas call on my cell phone).... HOORAY! for M$!

I just sent mine to a 3rd party engineer that fixed the system for me and installed a liquid cooling system in my 360 for $200.... now it runs nice and cool.... but I can see that my DVD drive is gonna bite the dust soon...... man the 360 is a big piece of garbage.... Oh how i wish it didn't have the best selection of games out now and in the forseeable future.
