so i already went on the wii section but i need some answers from my 360 brothers. so i have had a 360 for almost close for 2 years. played over 25 games . in the begining i was so crazy about modding and preserving my dvd's i went ahead and modded it . obviously i voided the warranty . after all the fun and a nice roller coaster ride i got the dreaded RROD yesterday. now ofcourse i spoke to a dude who repairs 360's and he said he would do the x clamp fix . but i know its just a temporary soln . and its going to keep comming back and i will have to keep shelling out money. so heres what im asking your'll . im going to repair my 360 , sell it off .. and buy a wii . also later on i wont have enough of time to play games so i think the wii should suffice. . .

ps: keeping in mind since i got the RROD is this a viable option . bare in mind i cant send it to ms cuz i modded it ;) adios

a modded 360 with RROD would fetch about $5, if that. Glad to see there is one less modder in the 360 community

no matter what you do your wii gonna collect dust. and to much dust can be a fire hazzard . DONT RISK YOUR LIFE MAN!!!!! buy an a fix kit online for like $30 and do it yourself. My friend did it and he said it was easy.

Honesly, it all depends on who fixes it at the warehouse. I've heard several stories of either having a ripped warranty sticker or not having one at all and MS still repaired it. And even if they do catch it, they'll just return it. It's worth a shot. And going from a 360 to a Wii is such a huge downgrade in my view but this isn't the place for such discussions.

This is more system wars material.

While I'm still here though... Wii's suck. They are extremely boring systems with a very small library of actually fun games. I'd strongly consider looking more into the Wii and its game library before buying one. The system seriously lacks in even mediocre games.

That modded RRoD Xbox is most likely going to get you little to nothing.
