Halo wars has an 82/100 average on meta critic, so imo that's a great RTS.

yeah ruse looks sick, would be better if we common folk could afford a fancy touch table though.

Till keyboards and mice become more standard the control input from a gamepad will always hinder a rts on consoles.

Yes I played Halo Wars, enjoyed it btw, but had some fustration from a lack of depth that i could control.

I thought halo wars was as great an RTS game as you'll find on the 360. Mind you its not perfect and I think a bit over rated but not because of its gameplay, thats fine for what it is its not trying to be more than it is and thatmakes it good. Its the fairly flat way in which the characters tell the story compared to the other games.

unless Microsoft allows us to plug in our mouse and keyboard into the 360, no RTS will never be quite the same on a console.

LOTR: BFME2 was an awesome RTS. I just wish there were more like that on 360.

Hmm well, Two good ones (Which I'm sure have been named countless times now) are Halo Wars (An alright game, Not to fun to play on your own but can be occasionally) and Command & Conquer 3 is pretty good I hear... There are a few more but as you say fairly standard stuff.

I agree. RTS flow a lot smoother and you have more control over them on a PC than a console at this time.

I still play Halo Wars. It's an amazing RTS. RTS will never be as complex as the PC due to controller restrictions, but Ensemble made a damn good argument with Halo Wars.

I loved C&C 3. The skirmishes were great, and having a 3 way fight between 3 races is awesome on some of the bigger skirmish maps.

Personally, I'm not a fan of sports games anyways, so it doesn't bother me. I could be wrong, but I don't think there are many PC users who are just dying to get the next sports game on the PC, so I don't think there's a huge market for sports games on the PC anyways.

IMO, you need a mouse and a keyboard for RTS. Halo Wars was pretty fun though, C&C3 was ok.
