Saint's Row 2 - need help

I got as far as the missions would let me go for each gang, Brotherhood, Ronin, Sons of Samedi, and defeated their bosses (not the head of each gang just the second up). And after doing so for each one, that gangs mission icon dissapeared from the map screen. Now as I have done this on all of them, there are no missions displayed on the map anymore. How do I proceed with this? I have tons of respect bars, but no mission icons to use them on. Hope someone can help -

A tip on the strongholds: Recruit a fellow gang member or two to help fight the stronholds.

A few were pretty hard, imo.
