That's what i think. Saints row 1 had a better mission design than Gta 4. Expect saints row 2 also to have a better mission design. Gta 4 had a lot bad critics such as boring to play after completing the story, Nothing much to see when roaming,bad multiplayer,etc. This are what a lot of people are saying. Now that gta 4 is having bad critics and Saints row 2 having interesting content and gamers regarding it as one of the major blockbusters this year, do you think this is the right time for Saints row 2 to come in the market and clash with Gta 4 and see which is the better game?
i didnt think so at first but after a week off owing gta4 i found it was a huge let down people arent even going to be playing gta4 by sr2 because the MP blows and theres like no replayabilty
In your dreams TC if you think that Saints Row 2 will be better then GTAIV. Now I would say that Saints Row 2 will be better then the first Saints Row, but that isn't saying much.
GTA4 was a let down..the story line was short, and after beating the campaign, there isnt a lot left to do after that. and the multiplayer is Mediocre, better than SR1 thats for sure. Hopefully they improve SR2 multiplayer.

It depends. If Saint's Row 2 can be way better than the first, if it brings the depth that GTA IV lacked then it will definatly be better. But i doubt that will happen.
I actually had more fun with SR than GTA IV. GTA failed when it tried to be realistic. It ruined the game IMO.ModernTimes

SR 2 should be great, but they must remember to add in some countryside/open areas. That was the best part of San Andreas - a city alone is pretty boring
Saints Row 2's Single Player should easily beat GTA 4. GTA 4 just isn't much fun to play, Saints Row should be better and have co-op. Multiplayer likely won't be anywhere near as good, graphics also shouldn't be.
I'll take GTA over saint's row, the dlc for GTA IV is what I'll be looking forward to, but I'll most likely get SR2 cause I enjoyed the first one to since there was no better option, but I don't think it has aged very well.
the mission structure in both games were essnetially the same. i.e drive somewhere, kill the enemies, chase someone away in the car. the multiplayer, while bad in gta iv was just as bad in saints row. there's nothing to suggest that saints row 2 will have a multiplayer that's any better. the radio stations weren't funny in saints row and i thought the city was much more badly designed than that of gta games. i did enjoy the amount of stuff to do in saints row and i think that's the only aspect that's not better in gta iv
Saints Row 2 will ROCK!!! Having seen the trailers, there is no doubt that it is going to be all out CARNAGE!!! GTA4 is a good book with a great story, and after finishing it gives you a feeling of "well...that was a nice one time experiance". Saints Row 2 is a comic book series with over the top action that keeps you wanting more. And it will deliver more. ALL out carnage i say. Satchel charges anyone.
I want to try it out Sant's Row 1 (rental from GameFly) just to see what it's about but I have one question...in this review the main guy is wearing some ridiculous pimp coat...does he wear that stupid thing the entire game? I don't want to play if I have to stare at that stupid costume the entire game.
although GTA may have been a let down, it was the first GTA on the next gen consoles, whereas Saints row 2 is gonna be the second. if u compare saint row 2 to GTA V then we'll see whos the better

lol!!!!!!:D cant you see saints row is the worst game ever made (well..before looney tunes aa:D??? and gta 4 is the best one? saints row 2 can be 10 times better thatn the first but it will never..and i say never beat gta 4 !:) it just isnt possible ...i think everyone have laughed in front of the way you run in saints row....it really seems like the character has something in is.... sry cant say that:D then....if we look the graphics....well sr2 screens are showing a really bad graphics! it really seems like ps2 ...
but ...eaveryone has his ideas and if you like it so much...just enjoy is mate:D but dont say things that will never be true...
I don't think it will happen. I am sure that there may be aspects such as the multiplayer, coop and customisation that may appeal to some but Saint's Row 2 and GTA 4 don't compete.
I really can't see people queuing at midnight on the day of the games release and there should be no problems with pre-orders either. I definately can't see it getting close to a perfect 10 by gamespot (based on the screenshots).
The simple fact is that Saint's row is new to the sandbox game type and will need time if they are going to compete. I am sure there have been many developers who have not even thought of creating a sandbox game because they know GTA sets the benchmark. Even EA have not made a game of this sort (as far as I know).
The screen-shots of Saint's row 2 look very similer to the first one which in comparison to GTA 4 look like 3d cartoons. Atleast GTA 4 attempted a more realistic looking environment.

They most probably wont call it GTA V, some other title.
i've never played saints row but i have a buddy who did and we have pretty much the same taste in games and he said it was really good for the 1st of its series...as for gta IV, i really like it but i do see how ppl can see it as being boring. the mission kinda get repetative...go there, kill this person or theses people, lose your wanted level (if you obtain one), blah blah blah...dont get me wrong, i think the story behind the game and the cutscenes that keep it progressing are great but i think they could have made some better missions...im currently at around 54% complete i think since the last time i played it but everytime i do its like i do two or three missions and i start getting bored and i have to push myself to do a few more before i give up and swap it out for call of duty 4 online...yes thats right, the challenges for online cod4 keep me wanting to play it more, and then there's the fact that im in a clan on gamebattles for it...all in all i am looking forward to saints row 2 but i actually have a question...maybe i should make a post for it but im gonna ask anyway...should i play saints row 1 before buying 2? or is it not gonna b a continuation of where 1 left off (wherever that was and please do not spoil).
well im thinking of buying sr2(im not trying to start stuff cuse of my name)but can comeone message me and tell me what stuff there is 2 do besides mp after u beat the game
i enjoyed sr alot more than gta4 i think it was beacause it is not all real and you can have alot of fun tuning cars and yourself and also the storylines an missions. if sr 1 is better than gta4 imagine sr 2
