Saints Row vs. GTA

Whats your most favorite? Which one is better?

For me I liked the Saints Row series better, because its more enjoyable, The missions are really fun and so is the multiplayer. For GTA tho after San Andreas, GTA has been too series its not that enjoyable to me. They tried to make it to realistic i guess but it is fun. Just not as fun as it used to be. Now the Saints Row 3 is rolling around the corner. I see the story and graphics and gameplay has improved even more so Im Waiting for that Release. Hopefuly GTA5 turns out better then GTA 4 cuz i wasnt feeling GTA 4 too much.

Overall? I prefer Saints Row for gameplay, story and of course the customization.
However, I do actually like the multiplayer for GTA more, because of the choice, and free roam, except leveling up is a biatch!
Really cannot wait for Saints Row: The Third, it's going to be bloody amazing!

I value story and multiplayer higher as Saints Row's were only slight victories.

I will be getting SR3 though.

Saints row I just got both games and have been playing saints row 1 for awhile now and I have to say its way more fun then GTA 4 and very funny.

I like GTA better. Everything else just follows.

Overall? I prefer Saints Row for gameplay, story and of course the customization.

Tough choice. I love the over-the-top zaniness of Saints Row but I also dig the more mature, deeper (half the time) mood of GTA. I honestly cannot choose a victor because both games have such great qualities. I've been lucky enough to enjoy all of the games this gen and the GTAs of the past. :) Novemberrr

GTAIV was more about watching cutscenes than anything else. The gameplay that was there wasn't that good if you ask me. So, unless you find the GTA world interesting (which I don't) Saints Row is the obvious choice. Has allot more gameplay and doesn't take itself so seriously.

SR2 was cool, but I liked GTA IV better.

I thought Saints Row 2 had better gameplay, better activities, better customizations and more options which also gave it better driving, better story, better characters, funnier, and it had co-op so I think it had the better multiplayer. If we were only talking player vs player I would say GTA due to the free roam.Legolas_Katarn

well i like GTAIV better but you have to understand GTA is more serious and satirizes society while SR is just downright funny

For me i think i prefer saints row for story as the missions were a little more enjoyable, gta4 free mode was and still is amazing, i dont think i will ever get bored of that and hopefully it will be in gta5, for me saints row2 multiplayer was annoying, i preferred saints row 1 multiplayer with the clan leaderboards and matches, i think overall it is saints row for me, hopefully saints row 3 has the same sort of multiplayer as saints row 1.

I'm a Saint's Row lover. The second I put so many hours into. GTA 4 I hate..so much. The driving, the shooting, the characters...not for me. Really excited for Saint's Row 3 :)

Love em both, probably GTA more. But they aren't really the same type of game. Too different to compare, both city sandbox style games but still completely different.

They're both different games. Saints Row is definitely a more wacky game than GTA. And unfortunately, not all the time people enjoy wacky stuff. Some people find realism to be the most fun. Myself, I'm torn on the issue. When I want story and more intense gameplay I go to GTA. When I'm looking to just lay back and have mindless fun then I play SR.

Nonetheless, I think that the SR series has went from wacky to plain immature crude humor. The third installment looks like they're just looking to appeal to the 13 year olds out there. The Saints Row games were always silly, but they at least had some middle ground.

Yeah, GTA San Andreas is the best in the series 'imo', the Ballad of Gay Tony is my 2nd fave, Saints Row 2 is good fun also.

I Don't Consider them any where near the same and there both Great thq has a twist on the open world Scene at the moment And Rockstar Sticks to Realism in there story and Gameplay And Saints row Is Almost entirely the Opposite yes thq Copied some idea's but then made them there own thing so I'm Happy with Both Equally and I Love Playing both But There Not the Same And i think we all like that.

When SR1 came out, it kinda made an impact on GTA's audience, but not much. Then, SR2 came out, and you had the ability to run around as a female. As linear as this sounds, that's all it took for me to become a full-fledged SR fanatic. I like GTA's graphics, but I have to agree with the forum creater.... the missions in SR were WAY more fun. Maybe if GTA focused on changing it's ways, from always having to be a dude to always driving around escorting someone, GTA isn't as "OMG" as it used to be.... Hopefully, they'll catch on, or they'll just be eclipsed by SR...BoogieL0ve20xx

The singleplayer gameplay is better on saints row 2, although the multiplayer gameplay and story of grand theft auto 4 is way better.Both of them are almost as good but i would still say grand theft auto 4 wins.
