samsung, the sony bravia has almost the same quality, its just more expensive caz it has the brand sony over it, check out some of the game setups, nearly everyone has a samsung, they are the perfect choice.

1. Wrong board:)

2. AFAIK Sony buys some components for Bravia from Samsung. Those HDTV's have the same picture quality, but Samsung is cheaper:)

There's no difference in their image when playing Xbox 360, but Sony Bravia is a better TV overall. But if you're only getting one to play games with, you better served with a cheaper mainstream Samsung TV. The Bravia engine wasn't made to take full advantage of gaming.

Having played on both (I have the Sony and my friend has the Samsung) I believe that the Samsung is better. Dont get me wrong the sony is a great choice. However the Samsung is better designed (I almost broke the 32" bravia as I tried to turn it on and nearly pulled it off teh mantlepeice. Who puts the on button on top of the TV?) and has a more stylish look to it. It mainly comes down to money and the Samsung is a lot cheaper. If you had a PS3 that would be different as Sony products go well together, but for a 360 the Samsung is great.

Well I own both a 56" Samsung DLP (5687 model) that is full 1080p with 10,000:1 contrast ratio and a Sony Bravia 40" LCD that is full 1080p with 7,000:1 contrast ratio. Grant it I sold my 360 and game with my PS3 but the overall better, long lasting, multi-tasking tv is my Sony. I would also give the edge to my Sony for just gaming as well because LCD's are much better and have a quicker response time (although not greatly but yes quicker) then DLP's. Hope this helps you out and good luck. I'd say get the Sony and you won't regret it.

Hey, I have just come home from shopping and I bought a 360 with Sony Bravia 32" TV. I had the guys at Currys connect a 360 to various LCD TV's and i found that the Sony Bravia was quite a lot better. If you want 26-30" I suggest buying a Samsung as they have far better contrast/brightness and also cheaper but once above 30" Sony has a far better picture.

I own a 46" 1080p Bravia, and I would highly recommend it. The only thing Samsung and Sony share is LCD panels, all the electronics are done differently, and personally, in my opinion you can tell the difference in quality between the 2. I sell both, and Bravia is definitely more popular as well. Samsung is more affordable by a small amount, but when you get into larger sizes, the difference is generally only 100 to 200 dollars on a 2500+ dollar TV.

I own a Samsung 26" LCD, my brother owns the Sony counterpart in the bravia range. I paid like £300 less than him, and I don't see any difference. If anything, the samsung looks sleeker... (due to the panel design). I'd say samsung... mate to be honest

Pricing is probably a lot different in Europe. In Canada you can get a really good deal on any TV if you talk to the right salesman, and the Samsungs and Sonys are very close in price. A 26" Samsung is 899.99 CND, while the Bravia goes for 999.99.

Here in Europe any Bravia usually costs >1k euros more than any other couterpart. But again, if you're looking for a TV to display only games, it's not worth it. And I own a KDL 40''X2000 bravia.

samsunng.  if you dont like them go for pioneere.  both make 1080p tvs that work with the 360.  sony restricts the resolution of non sony products so the 360 wouldn't be in hd.  sony trys to force you to get ripped off on the ps3.

samsung and pioneere dont require hmdi for hdtv,  sony does.  sony is trying to force hmdi on the market to get you to buy all sony products.  why not just buy a tv that can work with or without hmdi.  infact avoid all sony products.  they are the ea of electronics,  they try for exclusives rather than quality.  they make over priced inferior products.  they even try to spread the lie that hmdi is required.

Ummm....My Sony TV has component inputs that work for HD so I don't know what your talking about....you don't have to use HDMI for HD resolutions....in fact the TV can even use VGA input for HD.... I have an Xbox 360 and no resolutions are restricted....

you dont have the hd-dvd drive do you?  buy one and you'll instantly see the restriction.  you'll either get 480p or a black screen.  and not even useing the vga cord will improve it.  with samsung and pioneere you dont get the restriction.

I have the Xbox 360 HD-DVD drive and can use most all the HD resolutions through VGA and Component....the only one I can't use on component is 1080p and all TVs have that restriction....
