Saved Game Data Help, Please?

I transfered data from my old 20gb HDD to a new 120gb HDD. I haven't really had time to play on my xbox much due to work and school. I get on today to play a game, and I notice that the game is going through the beginner walk through like when you first start the game. My HDD says it has all the data from the last time I saved, but the game won't recognize it at all. Can you help me out at all? It's been like this for all of my games...
