Yes yes I know another war game, but if done properly a game based on this movie would be amazing. You could play through the war scenes as the different characters (Tom Hanks-Thompson rifleman, Barry Peppers Sniper etc). I know Call of Duty 2 did D-Day and Rommel's Last Stand but it wasn't depicted the same as it was in the movie. What do you think, because I love the movie so much-why not turn it into a game? Also imagine co-op, if your buddy was in the clock tower sniping, while your gunning on the ground.

No game has depicted the war like saving private ryan, and playing through D-day would be surreal

I agree with you man. if they made the same intensity in the game as they did in the movie, it would be great. also, having all of the movie cast members doing voice overs would be awesome :D

There are LOTS of ww2 games out there. I am pretty sick of them, but I do enjoy a few here and there are find ways to be different. Call of Duty 2 was probably the last one I really enjoyed. I would be all for a Saving Private Ryan game if it was done well, and not just a clone of the games that are available now. I think it's a good idea.

No, that sounds awful. The movie was great, just leave it alone. 2 hour movies never make good games anyways, except on the rare occasion where taking a large creative license actually works, but that would just be inappropriate in this case.

Great movie on the silver screen. Lets leave it there and not try to recreate it in a game format. Plenty of next-gen WW2 games out there.

This. And Medal of Honour Frontline, you have D-Day, on the 2nd mission your in an area exactly the same as the end battle of saving private ryan. Its all been done my friend. Even in allied assult you have to take out a postion that looks just like the MG nest that kills the medic

There are plenty of WW2 games, and the D-day landings have already been done in Medal of Honour. I've fought my way through countless bombed French villages, fought through trenches, sniped from bell towers, manned machine guns, stuck explosives to the back of tanks and heard so many cliched quotes and accents that WW2 games no longer have any appeal to me.

There are already way too many WW2 games out there. CoD:WaW was probably the last one I will ever buy. I am really sick of playing the same war over and over again. I am bored with WW2. If you are going to make a war game in the future please don't do WW2. Make up a war, make up countries that can fight each other, make an alternate timeline for the events in history, do anything but make me play WW2 AGAIN. I am sick of the Thompson, MP40, and every other gun from that era. Be fresh and original.

Movie games usually don't turn out that well from their track records, it takes talent and cooperation to make a good movie game. From a contract and money stand point it would be incredibly difficult to secure the actors from that movie to do a video game so late after the movie. Some movie games with the voice acting done by the actors are part of their contract. They agree to play a part in the movie and sometimes the part in the game is attached.

The movie was great and epic I really see no need to mar it with a movie game that could unintentionally be sub-par.

If anything, they should make a game from Band of Brothers. Band of Brothers>>>>>Saving Private Ryan.

It would just be a generic call of duty knockoff. What's the point?

World War II will never get old to me... but the Idea of making a movie game like that sounds like a idea that can only go wrong.

Check out Medal Of Honour: Frontline. That is basically exactly the same as the film with the same settings and d-day and the sniper tower etc etc. It's on PS2
