I was playin MW2 and my 360 got knocked over. I heard the scratching noise and knew what it was. Took my game out and sure enough there was a perfect ring of scratches around it. My question is, is there anything i can do to fix the disk?

This happened to my friend while playing Prototype i dont think u can fix it but u can try to my friend just bought a new copy if its a big ring around then i think your out of luck
There are some game repair shops that will repair the scratched game discs for you but it depends on how severe the scratches are.You can try using a skipdoctor. It worked for a game on my original xbox, but I've read some negative reviews on the product. But seeing as though your disc is unplayable anyway, you might as well give it a shot.

If it was caused by the Xbox being knocked over the scratch might be too deep to be repaired. You should give a few cheap repair kits a try but they are mostly meant for light scratches.
Your can't really fix those kinds of scratches. Small scratches have a better chance. Just buy a new disc.I was playin MW2 and my 360 got knocked over. That sucks. I had the EXACT same problem with my RockBand. If you have a Family Video near you, they polish them with a high speed professional polisher with a cleaning solution for about $2. My RoackBand was screwed, and now it's fine. It's good to try, not guaranteeing it will work.
This, the verification coding is probably a few Kb's, so the chance of it being on the scratched part are pretty slim. Just do this suggestion. Did your clerk offer you the $3 warranty? I turned that down, but if you use your Xbox at vertical, you may as well go for that from now on.No but didnt MW2 come out recently? just go back and say when you opened it it was scratched

Or two borrow a friends MW2 disc install it to the Hard drive and ithen you can use your MW2 disc and it will work like new.
Check to see if you have any Gamecrazy locations near you. I used to bring my 1st gen xbox games there for resurfacing. They use a professional resurfacer that works for pretty deep scratches, but not all. It's worth a shot.

There is a store called PlaynTrade that also repairs disks. The same exact thing happened to one of my games, the game had a perfect scratch in the shape of a circle, but they repaired it and it worked fine. Also I've also had scratched disks that didn't work installed on my Xbox using friends copies and they then worked perfectly.
