ok so my friend was playing Forza 3 when his dad hit into his xbox...xbox made a weird sound...disk scratched....its not bad....but my friend doesnt want to keep it/attempt to fix it....so i took it...if i fix it and it works then i buy from him for $15.....now i just have to fix it....

any methods? does the toothpaste method really work??

toothpaste genuinely works, my Copy of GoW was scratched, wouldnt read, then after some minty magic. i was fighting the horde again, plus it smells minty fresh

my friend works at blockbuster and he said they have some thing that removes scratches, maybe hes lying

You can use Brasso (metal polish) or any metal polish) I use that to keep away scratches.

Toothpaste works but however not better than Brasso.

i know one of those buffer machines can take it out.

i would reccomned just taking it to your local gamestop.

pay the 2-4 bucks for buffering. and you should be good to go.

Depends on how deep the scratch is really. They sell these "disc buffers" at stores like FYE that can get scratches out decently.

Never tried the toothpaste method myself...
