Nope.. Or maybe to that one guy hiding outside the Imperial City.. He's right by the walls so walk around the walls outside and you'll see him. If you stil can't find him, then put on a life detect armor or spell/potion. But other than that, I don't think so.
Nop, but why wouldn't you want to do so? The quests are the most fun and different in the whole game!!gp19
I'm gunna join eventually... it's just I realized that in order to join I need to go to jail first, and if I do that then all of the items I've already stolen will get confiscated.

you don't need to go to jail (and lose all your items) to join the Thieves Guild.......

how do you join then? everywhere i've read said you need to get arrested first...
Read one of the Gray Fox wanted posters scattered about the city. This gives you a couple of new topics. Approach a beggar and Persuade or Charm him or her to a Disposition past 70. Then ask about the Gray Fox. Say you want to work with him. You'll be told to go at midnight to the Garden of Dareloth in the Waterfront district. Once you have those instructions, head to the Waterfront district. You can Fast Travel there or go out through the door in the Temple district. Head south, past the docks and through the large wall to the dockworker slums. There's one house, on the eastern edge of the slums, with a walled garden behind it. That's the Garden of Dareloth. Its recomendable that you upgrade your steath and security atributes.
